On 19 August 2026, EABC Vice President and Chair of the Digital Economy and ICT Working Group, Mr. Bob Fox, and Operations Director, Dr Charanya Nopnukulvised participated in Commitment Day 2026: “Predictable Energy: Strengthening Resilience and Reducing Uncertainty” at The Athenee Hotel.

With six panels (covering data centres, quick tech and the energy sector), the event brought together data centre operators and investors, renewable energy operators, policymakers, business leaders and others to discuss Thailand’s evolving energy landscape and the implications for data centres and the digital economy.

Predictable Energy includes cost, availability and well-supported plans towards energy transition towards renewables and a more decentralised sector.

Mr. Bob Fox moderated two sessions focusing on Data Centres, facilitating discussions on policy developments, energy security, investment, and construction and operation, and the need for greater predictability to support Thailand’s growing digital infrastructure. Other members of EABCs Energy Working Group were also present.

An important message at a time of major policy change for energy and in particular data centres, is policy clarity and harmony as there are changes towards renewables.

EABC is pleased to have participated in this event and looks forward to continued collaboration among the public and private sectors in supporting energy transition, policy predictability for Data Centres and other parts of the energy sector.

On 19 August 2026, the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC), through its Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals Working Group, successfully organised the EABC Luncheon Policy Session 2026 on “Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme: Policy Direction and Way Forward for Sustainable Financing and Patient Access” at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.

The session featured keynote remarks by Ms. Wilawan Payanoi, Advisor of Fiscal and Financial System Development, Comptroller General’s Department, and Mr. Sittichai Ngamkiatkajorn, Director of the Medical Benefits Division, Comptroller General’s Department. The session brought together key stakeholders to exchange views on the future of healthcare financing under the Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme (CSMBS).

The discussion highlighted the importance of balancing the long-term sustainability of the CSMBS with patients’ continued access to quality healthcare. With Thailand’s ageing population and rising burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the session provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to exchange perspectives on healthcare financing, patient access, and the way forward for the scheme.

EABC extends its sincere appreciation to all speakers, participants, and partners for their valuable contributions to this important discussion, and our Gold Sponsor, Boehringer Ingelheim for their valued support in making the session possible.
