Main Conference Workshop | We Know What They Learned. Don't We?

"One 16-year-old wrote the best sentence about volunteering we’ve ever assessed..." 💬
What had to happen for him to write it?

The glossiest expedition often produces the emptiest reflection. 🧭 The uncomfortable truth: experience alone doesn't guarantee learning. What actually predicts growth is whether someone helped that student make sense of what happened.

In this hands-on workshop with Michael Lee, you won't just sit and listen:
🧩 Work backward from real student breakthroughs.
👟 Get on your feet and evaluate 20 actual reflections against credit-bearing outcomes.
📊 Test-drive a brand-new rubric built specifically for experiential design.

Turn "it was life-changing" into measurable learning students can actually name and articulate. Let's make learning stick!
🤝 Speaker: Michael Lee | Centre for Global Citizenship Studies
📍 Strand: Experiential Design, Practice & Science
