Thailand One Health University Network

Thailand One Health University Network or THOHUN The network is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Thailand One Health University Network or THOHUN was officially established in August 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. The program seeks to build regional, national, and local “One Health” capacities for early disease detection, prevention, rapid response and containment, and risk reductions. The concept of One Health is a global strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications

in all aspects of health care for humans, animals, and the environment. THOHUN focuses on pre-service workforce training and strengthening outbreak response capacity. It collaboratively works with university partners, i.e. University of California, Davis, and South East Asia University One Health Network (SEAOHUN) to conduct a number of activities to promote “One Health” concept in the Thai society.

Are you passionate about health, the environment, and making a difference in your community? The One Health Campus-to-Community (OH-C2C) Challenge is your chance to put your ideas into action — and get funded to do it.

📌 Open to students from SEAOHUN member universities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Bangladesh
🤝 Teams must be multidisciplinary (2+ fields) with at least one academic mentor
💰 Up to 9 teams funded — up to USD 2,000 per team

📢 International Workshop Announcement

Workshop: Securing WMD-Enabling Biotechnology from Nation-State Cyber Activity

Sandia National Laboratories, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, will host a two-day hands-on workshop focusing on cybersecurity and insider threat risk management in biotechnology.

📍 Date: 23–24 February 2026
📍 Location: Bangkok, Thailand
💰 Free of charge (business lunch and refreshments provided)

Participants will gain practical insights into cyber threat prevention, internal governance policies, and cyber threat hunting techniques to protect sensitive biotechnology data from espionage and exfiltration.

👥 Target audience:
IT security professionals, cybersecurity practitioners, and cyber risk managers
Supporting biotechnology industries, R&D organizations, and academic institutions
(Open to Thai nationals only)

🗣 The workshop will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation and Thai-language materials available if required.
