The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage

A cultural non-profit organisation The Kamthieng House, a precious example of northern Thai architecture, houses a folk museum.

The Siam Society under Royal Patronage was founded in 1904 in cooperation with Thai and foreign scholars to promote knowledge of Thailand and its surrounding region. The Society premises on Asoke Montri Road in Bangkok house a library that has a unique collection including manuscripts and rare books. Study trips are made to historical sites, cultural events, and nature sites in all corners of Thai

land and overseas. Lectures are organized several times a month on a wide range of topics. The Journal of the Siam Society and the Natural History Bulletin are published annually and distributed free to members. The Society also publishes scholarly books; stages performances of music, dance, and drama; hosts exhibitions and conferences; and is involved in projects of cultural preservation. Today, the Siam Society has a membership drawn from a broad spectrum of Thais and foreigners, and continues to operate as a non-profit organization dedicated to its founding cause.

As an institution dedicated to fostering appreciation and understanding of cultures from around the world, The Siam Society is delighted to provide a space where film can inspire dialogue, broaden horizons, and connect communities through shared human experiences.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand and the participating embassies not only for entrusting The Siam Society with hosting these screenings, but also for choosing our historic home as the venue for the Opening Night of the European Union Film Festival 2026. It was a great pleasure to welcome distinguished guests, diplomats, and audiences to celebrate the beginning of this remarkable festival together.

The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage joins the nation in mourning the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Krom Luang Rajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita.
Her Royal Highness devoted her life to the service of the nation and the well-being of the Thai people. Through her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering sense of duty, she touched countless lives and inspired many through her dedication to justice, education, public service, and humanitarian causes.
On this solemn occasion, The Siam Society extends its deepest condolences to His Majesty the King, the Royal Family, and the people of Thailand. We join all those who mourn her loss and honour the enduring legacy of service, integrity, and benevolence that Her Royal Highness leaves behind.

ประกาศ สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าพัชรกิติยาภาเรนทิราเทพยวดี กรมหลวงราชสาริณีสิริพัชร มหาวัชรราชธิดา สิ้นพระชนม์

สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าพัชรกิติยาภา นเรนทิราเทพยวดี กรมหลวงราชสาริณีสิริพัชร มหาวัชรราชธิดา ทรงพระประชวรหมดพระสติ ด้วยพระอาการทางพระหทัย และทรงเข้ารับการรักษา พระองค์ที่โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย มาตั้งแต่วันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2565 ตามที่สำนัก พระราชวังได้แถลงให้ทราบเป็นระยะแล้วนั้น

ตั้งแต่วันที่ 21 พฤษภาคม พุทธศักราช 2569 สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าพัชรกิติยาภา นเรนทิราเทพยวดี กรมหลวงราชสาริณีสิริพัชร มหาวัชรราชธิดา พระอาการทรุดลงจากการติดเชื้อในพระนาภี (ช่องท้อง) จากการอักเสบของพระอันตะ (ลำไส้ใหญ่) ความดันพระโลหิตต่ำ พระหทัย เต้นผิดจังหวะ การแข็งตัวของพระโลหิตผิดปกติ แม้คณะแพทย์จะถวายการรักษาอย่างใกล้ชิด จนสุดความสามารถ แต่พระอาการทรุดหนักลงตามลำดับ จนถึงวันพฤหัสบดี ที่ 11 มิถุนายน พุทธศักราช 2569 เวลา 19 นาฬิกา 88 นาที สิ้นพระชนม์ ณ โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย ด้วยพระอาการสงบ สิริพระชันษาปีที่ 47

พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว มีพระบรมราชโองการโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม ให้สำนักพระราชวังจัดการพระศพ ถวายพระเกียรติยศสูงสุดตามราชประเพณี ประดิษฐานพระศพ ณ พระที่นั่งพิมานรัตยา ในพระบรมมหาราชวัง
