The SEAMEO Secretariat partnered with the Rex Education International Forum on “𝑇𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑟-𝐶𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐹𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑜 𝑆𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠”, bringing together 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 to exchange ideas and strengthen regional collaboration. Opening the forum, SEAMEO Director Datuk Dr. Habibah Abdul Rahim delivered the keynote address, “𝑅𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑖 𝑇𝑒𝑡𝑎𝑝𝑖 𝑆𝑎𝑡𝑢: 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑇𝑜𝑔𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝐸𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛,” highlighting how Southeast Asia’s diversity serves as a powerful foundation for innovation and collective learning.
SEAMEO contributed regional perspectives on key priorities for the future of education. Deputy Director for Programme and Development Mr. John Arnold S. Siena explored how learner-centered approaches can be contextualized across Southeast Asia, while Learning Innovation and Information Specialist Mr. Carlo P. Fernando underscored the importance of sustainable teacher development.
Together, these discussions reaffirmed SEAMEO’s commitment to empowering school leaders, educators, and quality learning for all across the region.
