A local legend and one of Thailand's very few selectors keeping cassette culture alive. TapeJam brings his personal tape collection and takes us somewhere between memory and music — 80s Thai country rock, traditional Isan folk and world music, all bound together by analog warmth and the irreplaceable hiss of the tapes.

Bar Na is a listening bar by Na Projects: a platform using food, beverages and sound as tools to bring people together, build community and create social & cultural impact.

On April 9, passionate students and dedicated faculty from the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine program, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, brought meaningful health support to the Nang Loeng community and Ford Community Center members.

Activities hosted at Bangkok 1899 included soothing shoulder and neck pain relief, health consultations, relaxing herbal salt foot soaks and a discussion on the world of traditional herbs.

A heartfelt thank you to บ้านนางเลิ้ง - Baan NangLerng and Community lab for bringing this all together and making this beautiful day possible.

เมื่อวันที่ 9 เมษายน Bangkok 1899 และ ศูนย์ฟอร์ดเพื่อนชุมชน มีกิจกรรมด้านสุขภาพชุมชนนางเลิ้งร่วมกับนักศึกษาและอาจารย์สาขาแพทย์แผนไทยประยุกต์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

กิจกรรมนี้รวมไปด้วยบริการดูแลอาการปวดบ่าหรือคอ การให้คำแนะนำด้านสุขภาพ การแช่เท้าด้วยเกลือสมุนไพร และกิจกรรมเรียนรู้สมุนไพร

On March 24, Bangkok 1899 and the Ford Community Center hosted the official opening of the “Low-Carbon Learning Centre Bangkok — Nang Loeng Model: Community-Based Tourism for a Cooler Planet” alongside the Department of Climate Change and Environment (), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment – a landmark moment for the Nang Loeng neighborhood and for climate action in Thailand.

As part of the celebration, we also participated in “Talk for Change,” a panel discussion featuring NGO voices from the Ford Community Center (, , , .th, ), who brought to life the real, everyday work happening right here in Nang Loeng.

And what a story it is. For over 100 years, the Nang Loeng community has preserved its culture, food and way of life. Now it leads as Bangkok’s official Low Carbon Community-Based Tourism model — where household waste sorting, community plastic waste banks, upcycling workshops and cultural walking tours come together under one vision: that sustainability and heritage can grow side by side. Bangkok 1899, as well as FCC Bangkok (), are glad to be a part of the mission and will continue to support Nang Loeng in many ways.
