ASEAN Youth Organization - Thailand

ASEAN Youth Organization - Thailand ASEAN Community : ONE CARING and SHARING community of 10 Southeast Asian Nations. E-mail : [email protected]

ASEAN Youth Organization was founded in 2013 by two ASEAN youths, Senjaya Mulia from Indonesia and Vanna Hay from Cambodia. This initiation arose because they were part of the ASEAN Community page, an online platform managed by youths from ASEAN countries and shared about ASEAN Cultures. In 2018, AYO received the ASEAN name authorization from the ASEAN Secretariat and established the AYO

Social Enterprise in Singapore and Indonesia. Since then, AYO has established other arm’s organizations to support its sustainability: AYOAcademy, AYORecent, AYOPost, and AYOEnviro.

AYO Thailand had the opportunity to implement the AI Ready ASEAN program in Mae Sot, the Thailand border area.

Led by our Master Trainers, Shwe Yi Than Htike Win and Kaung Myat Hein, this initiative raised awareness about AI and introduced students to coding through the Hour of Code and AI Class ASEAN.

In line with our tagline, “No One Left Behind,” we are committed to supporting communities in underdeveloped regions. Participants learned the fundamentals of coding and basic AI concepts, empowering them with essential digital skills for the future.

The ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO) proudly participated in the ASEAN Inter-Sectoral Workshop and the Launch of the ASEAN Roadmap for the Prevention of Child Labour, including the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour by 2035, held on 18–19 November 2025 in Bangkok and online.

AYO was represented by Ms. Rosa Bella Caiyoke Tan, Country Director, and Mr. Paulo Ronquillo, Memberships and Loyalty Manager and Head of the AYO Research Center. Their engagement underscored the importance of youth-led organizations as credible partners in regional policy dialogue, research, and cross-sector collaboration.

The launch of this ASEAN Roadmap marks a significant step toward a coordinated, evidence-based, and inter-sectoral approach to protecting children’s rights and advancing decent work across Southeast Asia. As a youth-driven organization working at the intersection of policy, research, and community action, AYO Thailand remains committed to translating regional commitments into tangible youth-led impact on the ground.

We actively welcome collaboration with companies seeking meaningful CSR and impact-driven projects, NGOs, development partners, and ASEAN-related institutions to co-create initiatives aligned with regional priorities on child protection, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.

🌿 AYO Thailand Champions Youth-led Climate Action at Sustainability Expo 2025

At the Sustainability Expo 2025, the ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO) Thailand team - Cname Peemadesh Chiupanya, Rosa Bella Tan, and Candy Htet Aung hosted an engaging workshop on understanding personal footprint journeys and the real impact of our daily actions on the planet.

Participants discovered how everyday lifestyle choices contribute to carbon emissions and explored how mechanisms like the carbon credit system can empower communities and organizations to take measurable action toward a low-carbon future.

According to UNICEF (2023), youth in Thailand face increasing climate-related challenges, from droughts to heatwaves, making climate literacy and youth-led sustainability initiatives more essential than ever. Encouragingly, more young people in Thailand are adopting carbon tracking and sustainability apps, showing a clear shift toward responsible, informed action.

Through these efforts, AYO Thailand continues to inspire and equip young leaders across ASEAN to turn awareness into action, driving real impact for a more sustainable future — one conscious choice at a time. 🌏✨

🌏 What key skill will shape the next generation of youth leaders in civic engagement?

Our Impact Manager, Cname Peemadesh Chiupanya, recently joined the .Party’s Young Professionals Program (YPP), a national initiative connecting young professionals and policymakers to co-create solutions for Thailand’s future.

Through the Education and Culture track, he explored how collaboration, empathy, and systems thinking can transform policy into people-centered action, from empowering teachers to designing more inclusive and equitable education systems.

Across ASEAN, programs like YPP represent a growing movement: youth are not only beneficiaries of policy but co-creators of governance and public impact.

At ASEAN Youth Organization Thailand, we are committed to bridging policy and people, empowering young leaders to design systems that are inclusive, compassionate, and future-ready.

💬 We invite our peers across ASEAN - what skill do you believe is most essential for meaningful youth participation in governance and civic innovation?
