Today, Asia Centre, in partnership with the DVB Peacock Film Festival and Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) hosted a film screening entitled “Untold Stories From Myanmar”. The short documentaries featured pressing social issues amidst the ongoing civil conflict.

Over 40 participants from Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and several other countries attended the event!

As we mark International Day of Democracy this week, Asia Centre reconfirms its mission to build democratic resilience and trust. It is proud to work alongside partners in the Global Democracy Coalition, and as a member of its Steering Group.

Across Asia, democracy is being undermined by information manipulation. It requires strong civil society partnerships to counter this manipulation.
