Gorbua Senanarong joined the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC)’s Internship Programme as a Business Development Intern for three months. As the youngest intern to join TNCC, Gorbua has impressed us with her performance, maturity, and professionalism throughout her internship. Gorbua has been enthusiastic, responsible, and reliable. She worked well with others, coordinated effectively with the team, and was eager to learn, willing to help and open to feedback. She consistently showed a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges throughout her internship.❤️

Gorbua is currently entering her junior year in the Bachelor of Business Administration International Program, majoring in Finance from Chulalongkorn University. As she has always had a passion for the multiculture cooperations and global activities, she was excited to get to explore the world of international business at TNCC.🌍️✈️

🎊 𝐀 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔! 🥂

On the 20th of August 2026, the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce hosted the wonderful After Summer Networking at The Athenee Hotel.

he After Summer Networking 2026 brought guests together in a warm and vibrant atmosphere, offering an opportunity to share stories from their summer holidays while building new connections through relaxed networking. The event reflected the strong commitment of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and 17 foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand to strengthening relationships and fostering collaboration within the business community. It provided an enjoyable setting for members, co-chamber guests, and newcomers to connect, exchange ideas, and expand their networks in a friendly and informal environment. 🥂

The evening opened with a warm welcome by Mrs. Kristine Anvik Leach, President of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, who commenced the festivities with a warm and engaging speech to kick off the night, as guests enjoyed a night of meaningful connection with each other. Followed by Mr. Tommy Flakk, Chargé d'affaires ad interim from the Royal Norwegian Embassy, who delivered a captivating address to liven up the social spirit.

As the event drew to a close, guests enjoyed an exciting lucky draw session, made possible by the generous support of 11 sponsoring companies. The evening then concluded with closing remarks from Mrs. Kristine Anvik Leach, expressing her sincere appreciation to all attendees for joining the event and for their enthusiastic participation. 🎁

On 11 August, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, hosted a farewell dinner in honour of H.E. Ambassador Astrid Emilie Helle at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok. 🇳🇴🇹🇭

Throughout her tenure, Ambassador Helle played a key role in strengthening Norway-Thailand relations, championing closer trade and investment ties, and supporting the Norwegian business community in Thailand. She was recognised for her efforts to promote Norwegian businesses, support the Norway–Asia Business Summit 2023, facilitate solutions to business challenges, and strengthen advocacy and dialogue with Thai authorities. In her final weeks in Thailand, she also met with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, where discussions reaffirmed the close partnership between the two countries and highlighted the importance of the Thailand–EFTA Free Trade Agreement in strengthening trade and investment. She was appointed Norway's Ambassador to Thailand in 2022, also serving concurrently as Ambassador to Cambodia during her posting in Bangkok.

Marking 120 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the evening was an opportunity to reflect on this enduring friendship and to look ahead at continued cooperation across bilateral, regional, and global priorities — including OECD and ASEAN. Both countries also reaffirmed their shared commitment to multilateralism and the values of the United Nations. 🤝

TNCC was represented at the event by former TNCC President Mr. Axel Blom and Khun Nantiya Pitakwongdeengam, Managing Director of Yara Thailand and one of our board of directors. As Ambassador Helle concludes her term in Thailand, TNCC extends our sincere appreciation for her dedication and support in strengthening business relations and creating opportunities for Norwegian and Thai companies. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister Sihasak and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand for their close cooperation and support throughout her tenure.
