Empowering Hope: A Visit to Nightlight Foundation 🕊️✨
At CTM, we believe that true empowerment begins with standing alongside those who are rebuilding their lives. We recently had the profound privilege of visiting the Nightlight Foundation, an incredible organization dedicated to restoring hope, healing, and freedom to women rescued from human trafficking and prostitution rings.

Beyond intervention, Nightlight focuses on long-term restoration—equipping these resilient women with vital life skills, holistic care, and vocational training so they can step into a secure, self-sustaining future.

To support their vocational training center, we were honored to hand over 25 kg of baking flour, which will be used directly in their culinary and baking classes, alongside a large box of beautiful ladies’ wear to support the women in their daily lives.

🤝 It Takes a Village: A Special Thank You
This contribution was made possible through the immense generosity of the families, students, and faculty of KIS International School (Huay Kwang). Your donated pre-loved clothes are doing far more than clearing out closets—they are offering dignity, warmth, and encouragement to women on a journey of profound renewal.

Every collective effort, no matter how small, adds tangible value to disadvantaged communities. When we combine our resources, we provide more than just material goods—we provide a reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this visit possible. Together, we continue to weave a stronger safety net of care and opportunity.

A Sunday Special for 300 Households! 🎉
Last month, we delivered 13 massive boxes of donated clothes, shoes, toys, and household items to the Gift of Happiness Foundation. This morning, that generosity came to life! We joined forces to distribute these and other contributions directly to some 1,500 residents of the Norawan 1 community.

The energy was electric from the start. Tables were set up in the carpark, and the moment the truck arrived, residents jumped in to help unload and unpack. It immediately turned into a beautiful, bustling community market.

In these challenging times, when inflation hits hard and shopping for anything beyond the bare essentials is a luxury many cash-strapped families simply cannot afford, this "free shopping" day was a massive blessing. Most parents here work tirelessly in demanding, low-income jobs—the mothers as maids and the fathers in construction. Hard-earned money goes straight to food and rent, leaving very little for anything else.

But today wasn't just about charity; it was about pure joy. In a community with about 800 children, the atmosphere felt like a festival. Watching the kids' faces light up as they picked out "new" toys and outfits, and seeing parents find exactly what their households needed, was incredibly heartwarming. There is no greater reward than seeing neighbors walk away with their hands full and their hearts even fuller! ❤️

A big portion of our contribution from CTM came from the wonderful families at KIS International School Bangkok, who regularly channel preloved items to us for organization and distribution. Thank you, KIS, and our appreciation also to the many other individuals who continue to share, support, and show up. You made today unforgettable!

BACK TO SCHOOL !
Just a couple of days before Thai kids return for their new school term, I get an urgent message from our coordinator for the Pho Thong slum .
"The kids need shoes and uniforms" she texted, along with photos of broken worn out shoes, washed out shorts with tears...
Many kids only have a pair of school shoes, then one or at the most two pairs of uniforms.
I connected with our friends at มูลนิธิกระจกเงา (The Mirror Foundation) requesting the items in the sizes we needed.
By Tuesday, we received some of what was needed that fit five of the kids.
Thankfully all that was left to buy were just some necessary PE attire and uniform for a couple of the boys who didn't get these. Special thanks to Khun Nav P. for his prompt sponsorship for this!!
Also big shoutout to Khun Nav, Khun Alina and Ms Jennifer for your kind contribution which provides school transport, food and care for these kids from the Pho Thong slum!

Brightening Up Lives: A wonderful Collaborative effort !

April 23rd marked International Make A Difference Day (MADD) for Brighton Schools around the world.

The Thai chapter, , invited us at Central Thailand Mission to make that difference for the disadvantaged communities we work with. Special shoutout here to teacher Linh Dang who coordinated the logistics and everything needed for this awesome event!

We had the co-privilege of turning an ordinary term-break morning into an extraordinary adventure! Children from The Mercy Center, the Mirror Foundation and the Pho Thong slum came together for a love & fun-filled celebration at the expansive new school grounds.

What started as a quiet weekday was instantly transformed the moment our 55 little guests and 10 dedicated caregivers from the Mercy Centre, the Mirror Foundation, and the Pho Thong slum stepped onto the school grounds.

Memorable Moments

The red carpet was rolled out starting with a delicious snack of French toast and cold milk. From that moment on, our kids were the absolute stars of the show!

Game On! The Year 3 & 4 students kickstarted the fun with a high-energy, all-inclusive game of dodgeball.

Creative Variety: The children split into groups to rotate through several activities hosted by the teachers, from the sweet artistry of cookie decorating to interactive team games.

Sharing is Caring: In a beautiful display of generosity, Brighton students contributed a mountain of clothes, toys, shoes, and bags. Our kids experienced the thrill of "Free Shopping," picking out treasures to call their own. There was such an abundance that every child left with plenty, plus extra bundles to share with friends back home who couldn't make it!

A Feast for the Senses

With hearts full of gratitude, the Brighton team went above and beyond to ensure no one left hungry. They served up a magnificent lunch spread—a colorful array of noodles, rice dishes, fresh salads, and seasonal fruits. It was a true feast!

A Bonus Blessing & A Massive Thank You!

As the vans packed up, they carried away children with full tummies, hands full of gifts, and spirits soaring.

We also want to highlight a huge bonus blessing: In addition to hosting this incredible day, the school made a 20,000 Baht MADD contribution! This tremendous boost to our service project funding will go directly toward CTM’s mission: supporting community education, caring for our local slum communities, and providing vital aid to displaced Karen families along the Thai-Myanmar border.

Thank you, Brighton College, for proving that when we come together, we truly can Make A Difference!

HAPPY SONGKRAN!!!
Thai New Year Blessings to All! 💦✨

What better way to begin a new year than by sharing joy, kindness, and hope?

This Songkran, Central Thailand Mission had the privilege of “connecting the dots” — bridging the gap between those who have… and those who are simply hoping for a little more.

Year after year, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of the families and faculty of KIS International School Bangkok. Their spirit of giving continues to ripple outward — as children grow out of clothes, outgrow shoes, and set aside toys… they are, in truth, making space for another child to receive dignity, warmth, and joy.

Because for many children living in vulnerable communities — including those around landfill areas, and families displaced by crisis and persecution from Myanmar — these are not just secondhand items.
They are treasures.
They are comfort.
They are reminders that they have not been forgotten.

This Songkran also marks a new beginning for us.

For the first time, Central Thailand Mission is partnering with the Gift of Happiness Foundation — an incredible organization with the reach, structure, and experience to bring aid directly to communities across Thailand.

Our role in this first step was simple, but meaningful:
We gathered and delivered a carload of donated clothes, shoes, books, and toys — made possible by the KIS community — into their hands.

From there, their dedicated team will carefully sort, organize, and channel these items to the communities and projects where the need is greatest — from landfill communities on the outskirts of Bangkok, to migrant schools, refugee support areas, and underserved regions across the country.

In a time when rising fuel and logistics costs make outreach increasingly challenging, this kind of collaboration is not just helpful — it is essential.

This is how impact grows.
This is how giving travels further.

At Central Thailand Mission, we are honored to play our part in bridging the gap — connecting generous hearts with those in need, and partnering with those who can carry that love even further.

And this is just the beginning. 💛

May this Thai New Year bring renewal, gratitude, and the joy of giving into every heart.

When FUNd-raising was truly FUN!!

We are so grateful for the opportunity to set up our CTM booth at the St Andrews International School Bangkok FUN DAY on March 21—and what a day it was!

Without our usual CTM assistants, I honestly wasn’t sure how we would manage… but I was so deeply touched by the incredible support that showed up. From the school staff, and later from Teacher Faye and her wonderful team of senior student volunteers—who stayed with us from start to finish—it truly became a team effort. I couldn’t have done it without them.

Our booth was filled with a vibrant mix of donated treasures—books, toys, games, clothes, jewelry—and this time, we added a few special items like Himalayan salt lamps, avocado seed oils, and jars of Mala spice, which brought even more variety and curiosity to our tables.

One of the highlights was our HEALTH CORNER—featuring freshly baked sourdough bread made by the 11-year-old son of a friend. The irresistible aroma worked its magic… we sold 10 loaves within the first half hour, and the rest were gone by mid-afternoon!

And then came our colorful surprise…
Just a couple of weeks before the fair, I had the thought: wouldn’t it be wonderful to offer a healthy, refreshing drink? That little spark turned into our now-loved RAINBOW DRINK—made from butterfly pea flowers and coconut sugar. At the fair, with a simple squeeze of lemon, the deep indigo transformed into a swirling blend of reds, blues, and purples—a mini “chemistry experiment” that completely captivated the kids (and adults too!). It was such a joy to watch their amazement—and yes, it definitely helped us sell our drinks! 😊
At one point, a group of enthusiastic 10-year-old girls even volunteered to take the drinks around to sell—nothing like passionate little sales champions!

We also created a GAME CORNER for the younger children, with simple ring and ball toss games—where every child was guaranteed a prize. The real joy? Watching their faces light up when they realized they could choose anything they liked from our giveaway table. There is truly something magical about the joy of giving. The children loved the games… and we loved making sure every one of them felt like a winner.

A very special shoutout of appreciation to the Senior Class, who had already raised funds for CTM projects through their own initiatives in the months leading up to the event—your support means so much to us.

From start to finish, it was a day filled with connection, generosity, creativity, and joy.
Thank you to everyone who made it so special. 💛

A Fabulous FARM!
Congrats to the team of 20 boys and the staff at the 's Krungthep Kritta Farm!
They have done a wonderful job in rearing chickens for their eggs, fish-farming, vegetable, herb and fruit farming to the point that they now supply their fresh organic produce to restaurants! Well done!
All this was showcased at their Open House recently, attended by many expat and school volunteers , where there were also crafts, games by sponsors, and a show by their talented residents!
I had the pleasure of meeting the team of students from the who I hope to collaborate in the near future!
