M.L. Laksasubha Kridakon, President of the Australian Alumni Association (Thailand) (AAA), hosted an informal farewell afternoon tea for H.E. Dr. Angela Macdonald PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, together with Khun Chantavarn Sucharitkul (ANU), former Assistant Governor of the Bank of Thailand, at the Anantara Siam on 24 May 2026.
On behalf of the AAA, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ambassador Angela Macdonald for her friendship, support, and dedication in strengthening the relationship between Australia and Thailand, as well as her continued support of the Australian alumni community throughout her tenure.
We sincerely wish Her Excellency every success and happiness in her future endeavours.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Kobsak Chutikul, an outstanding diplomat and a prominent senior member of the Australian Alumni Association (Thailand). His wisdom, dedication, and contributions have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire us all. He will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

The ASEAN–Australia Young Entrepreneurs Initiative, funded by the ASEAN–Australia Centre (DFAT), supports early-stage female founders from ASEAN and Australia through Generation Next—a four-year program aligned with key sectors in Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
Eligibility:
Generation Next 2026 is designed for women across ASEAN & Australia who are ready to build, explore, or grow within the digital economy.

Who can apply:
Women aged 18–40
Based in ASEAN or Australia
Interested in building or contributing to the digital economy
Business / Idea Stage:
Exploring an idea
Early-stage startup or small business
Social enterprise
With a prototype, early customers, or early revenue (not required but helpful)
