Last Thursday, the STCC, together with the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC), Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and NTCC - Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce, welcomed business leaders, sustainability practitioners, and innovators to the Sustainability for Business Forum 2026 at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok.
Through three dedicated tracks, Retail, Scope 3, and E-Mobility, the forum explored how sustainability is evolving from a corporate responsibility initiative into a business imperative that drives resilience, innovation, and long-term value creation.
In the Retail track, discussions centred on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and how businesses can embed sustainability throughout the product lifecycle. Panellists highlighted the interconnected challenges of packaging across industries, from beauty and manufacturing to food and beverage, and demonstrated how cross-sector collaboration can reduce environmental impact while improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
The Scope 3 track examined the growing importance of value chain emissions. While sustainability conversations have traditionally focused on Scope 1 and 2 emissions, panellists emphasised that meaningful progress requires organisations to collaborate across entire supply chains. A key takeaway was clear: real sustainability cannot be achieved in isolation—it requires collective action across industries and stakeholders.
The E-Mobility track explored the transition towards cleaner transport systems through electrification, smart mobility solutions, and low-carbon logistics. Discussions highlighted the opportunities for businesses to adopt innovative mobility models, optimise transportation networks, and contribute to more sustainable and liveable cities.
A sincere thank you to our distinguished panellists and moderators for sharing their expertise and insights, and to all participants for contributing to engaging discussions throughout the afternoon.
