On Thursday 13 August, New Zealand’s Ambassador to Thailand, Raylene Liufalani, met Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, for an introductory call ahead of his visit to New Zealand later this week (20-22 August).

The Prime Minister’s visit will be the first visit by a Thai Prime Minister to New Zealand in 13 years and a great opportunity to deepen our cooperation in trade and economic issues, address trans-national serious crime, and expand cultural cooperation.

New Zealand looks forward to welcoming Prime Minister Anutin later this week!

The energy, the laughs, and the intense trivia battles made this one of our best events yet. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and welcome so many new ones to our community.

Celebrating ASEAN Day and the C asean Forum 2026! 🌏

Yesterday, our President attended the C asean Forum 2026 (CaF 2026) and the 59th ASEAN Day Celebration.

Under the theme “Resilient ASEAN: Connectivity as a Competitive Advantage,” the forum provided a fantastic platform to hear inspiring insights on strengthening economic, social, and physical resilience across the region. The day concluded beautifully with the ASEAN Day celebrations, featuring cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and an excellent networking reception.

NZTCC is proud to be part of these regional conversations, as we continue to bridge connections and unlock new horizons between New Zealand, Thailand, and the wider ASEAN community!
