Our Rivers Our Life

Our Rivers Our Life OROL is a regional river and life protection campaign to protect the ecosystems and biodiversity of rivers and the livelihoods of people living along them.

'Our Rivers Our Life' (OROL) is a regional river and life protection campaign initiated by the seven-member Regional Working Group on Biodiversity (RWG-BioDiv), partners of terre des hommes (Germany) in the Southeast Asian region. This regional working group consists of Burma, Lao PDR, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. The OROL campaign works to introduce children to the political debate; develop OROL’s networks in ASEAN countries; and enforce specific measures to protect the ecosystems and biodiversity of rivers and the livelihoods of people living along the rivers.
