Port Dickson International Muaythai Challenge 2026: A Major Success
From 1–3 May 2026, the beautiful coastal city of Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, became the centre of international Muaythai action as the inaugural Port Dickson International Muaythai Challenge 2026: Rise of the Challenger officially took place at Pantai Batu 1. The event was proudly sanctioned by the WMC and IFMA under the Malaysian Muaythai Federation.
The historic event marked the first-ever international Muaythai tournament hosted in Port Dickson, bringing together athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters from across the region in a celebration of skill, heart, and the true spirit of Muaythai.
Over three exciting days, rising talents from multiple countries stepped into the ring, determined to prove themselves on the international stage. The event showcased not only high-level competition, but also the strong unity and family atmosphere that makes Muaythai unique.
One of the most special moments of the tournament was the participation of young athletes from Singapore after many years of waiting to welcome professional-amateur competitors from the country. Among them was 9-year-old rising talent Qarizh Fadel Bin Mohammad Fadeli, who travelled to Port Dickson together with his father, mother, and little sister.
In a touching display of family support and dedication to the sport, both his father and mother worked his corner throughout the competition. Qarizh showed remarkable composure, courage, and technique beyond his years, earning a gold medal in his bracket category and becoming one of the standout young stars of the event.
