Have you ever received a compliment that revealed a hidden talent you didn’t know you had?

Yesterday at Empower Toastmasters Bangkok, TM Miu led the meeting for the very first time and set the tone for a lively, engaging session. She kicked off with a fun game to help everyone discover each other’s hidden talents, and it was the perfect start to a spotless meeting.

🎤 TM Wah Wah Htun delivered a thoughtful speech on how to win a conflict by losing.
🎤 TM Wai Pyo shared his journey of climbing a mountain and the life lessons he discovered along the way.
🎤 TM Bua Charungchitpracharom offered a spiritual insight, connecting us with the Buddhist foundations that Thailand is built upon.

Beyond the speeches, our minds were nourished and our stomachs were happy too. TM Bud prepared a delicious selection of healthy homemade snacks, beautifully balancing out TM Nuchanath Aumpradithpun’s birthday cake.

Toastmasters is more than a meeting, it’s a space to grow in confidence, connect with others, and uncover talents you never knew you had.

What makes a speech memorable: polished delivery, or a story that feels real?

At our Wednesday meeting, Empower Toastmasters Club gathered at Alliance Française de Bangkok, for a session on Community & Real Experiences. The Toastmaster of the Day Ei Shwe Sin Htwe kept the energy high as speakers explored how real-life connection shapes stronger communication.

🎤 TM Vinnie opened with an Ice Breaker on the four pillars of public speaking, offering a practical crash course for anyone starting out.

🎤 TM Mahogany followed with “Moral Crumple Zones,” a thoughtful look at AI, technology, and where responsibility lands when machines get it wrong.

🎤 TM Nuchanath Aumpradithpun closed with “The Mirror and the Map,” a persuasive speech on mentoring and the impact of guidance.

Table Topics by TM Michael kept everyone thinking on their feet, and the smaller group made the session feel lively and engaging. We also welcomed a guest, who got to see exactly what a normal meeting looks like.

- Preparation makes confidence easier.
- Clear responsibility matters in both technology and communication.
- Mentoring can shape the path for others in powerful ways.

What makes you have a good day or a bad day? 🤔

Yesterday, we certainly had a good day at Empower Toastmasters Club in . With a turnout of 20+ members and guests, it could not go bad. TM Bua Charungchitpracharom masterfully led the meeting with her theme “A New Day.” ☀️

🎤 TM Tanyaporn Somvongsiri delivered her ice-breaker speech, and we all got the chance to learn a lot about her.

🎤 TM Fathima captivated the room with a speech filled with life wisdom, disguised as a game of Monopoly.

After a break with delicious cake from our Snackmaster TM Ravit, we continued with table topics and evaluations. Giving everyone the chance to speak, including our guests. Could this be the secret sauce behind our club's growth in membership? ✨

Evaluations and takeaways:
- Strong participation made the meeting lively and engaging.
- New speakers brought fresh energy and insight.
- Table topics gave everyone a chance to practice impromptu speaking.

Toastmasters International helps us grow in confidence, communication, and connection, both in life and in our professions.

What does it take to keep the ball rolling and speak with confidence?

At Empower Toastmasters Club, we found out at our Wednesday meeting, where the new ExCo team was on the ball and TM Ravit led us through a World Cup inspired theme: 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥. 🎉

⚽️ TM Tanya unpacked her suitcase literally with a speech about suitcase words, showcasing strong vocal variety and body language.

⚽️ TM Ei Shwe Sin Htwe shared a powerful story of perseverance, reminding us what it means to keep going until you reach your goal. Just like becoming a finalist in the Toastmasters competition in Vietnam!

⚽️ TM Bud delivered an inspiring speech about evolving from a shy, quiet person into an influencer with over 200k followers.

🥅 TM Miu truly hit it out of the ballpark with a World Cup inspired table topics session, supported by excellent visuals.

A few takeaways from the meeting:
- Strong vocal variety keeps an audience engaged.
- Confidence grows through persistence and practice.
- Visuals can make table topics even more memorable.

Toastmasters continues to help us grow in communication, leadership, and confidence. Skills that make a difference in both life and work.

⚡ If you could describe a fellow Toastmaster using a simile, what would it be?

That was the fun challenge our Toastmaster of the Day, TM Tony, gave us as he warmed up the room by asking members to use similes to describe the Toastmaster they thought should become a saint! The answers were as creative as ever—from a bolt of lightning and a blooming flower to a Zen master, a stereo, an angel, a scarecrow, and even a dog! 😄

The laughter continued with three engaging speeches:
🎤 An interesting Ice Breaker about a journey across countries, titled 13 Bags.
🎤 Another Ice Breaker that took us from the troubles with having no last name to a journey of becoming a better communicator.
🎤 A humorous speech that began with the search for a soulmate and took us through fortune telling, psychology, and decision-making.

The afternoon wrapped up with our club Executive Committee elections. TM Megha facilitated the election process in a creative table topics format, making it engaging while electing & welcoming our new committee.

Congratulations to our new Exco! Wishing you a successful year of creating memorable meetings, developing leaders, and helping members achieve their goals. 🎉

🎨 Every great meeting starts as a blank canvas.

Our Toastmaster of the Day, TM Shireen, invited us to see the stage as a blank canvas, where each speaker became an artist adding their own unique strokes, and our evaluators stepped into the role of art critics, helping each masterpiece become even better.

The afternoon unfolded beautifully as we heard inspiring speeches on empowering women through financial awareness, overcoming creative slumps by embracing boredom intentionally, and an engaging Ice Breaker that introduced a new member to the club.

The creativity continued with a unique Table Topics session, where participants had to describe a word without using a few "forbidden" words. The challenge sparked plenty of excitement while highlighting an important communication skill—carefully choosing not just what to say, but also what not to say.

The "art critics" rounded off the afternoon with thoughtful evaluations, offering feedback to help each speaker continue refining their masterpiece.

We can't wait to see what the next blank canvas brings! 🎨✨

😄 Fake it till you make it!

That was the message from our Toastmaster of the Day, TM Bud, who got everyone energized with a taste of laughter yoga to kick off another engaging Toastmasters meeting.

From there, we explored a wide range of topics and skills:
🎤 A thought-provoking speech on the Culture Map and navigating negative feedback in different cultures
🎤 Insights into emotional intelligence and brain talents
🎤 A vocal variety speech about a comedian who kept returning to the stage despite the frequent joke that didn't land

The learning didn't stop there! Our Table Topics Master, TM Blair, challenged participants with impromptu negotiation scenarios concentrating on negative feedback, giving everyone a chance to think on their feet and practice persuasive communication.

From laughter yoga to negotiations, emotional intelligence to negative feedback skills, this meeting was packed with learning, growth, and plenty of laughs along the way.

We can't wait for more at our next meeting on June 17th! 🎉

📸 Meetings, teamwork, celebrations, brainstorming sessions, and plenty of learning along the way!

As this committee term begins to wind down, we're celebrating the wonderful volunteers who have worked behind the scenes to support our club and its members.

Thank you to every committee member who stepped up to serve, contribute, and help create a positive and encouraging environment. These experiences, and memories made throughout the term are just as valuable as the achievements themselves.
