ประเทศไทยยังคงเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศที่เผชิญกับโลกรวน ฤดูกาลไม่แน่นอนสูง การจัดการเมือง ภัยพิบัติ จนถึงนโยบายและระบบสวัสดิการ จำเป็นต้องเล็งเห็นถึงความเสี่ยงจากภูมิอากาศ เพื่อสามารถรับมือก่อนเหตุเกิด ซึ่งแผนที่ระบุความเสี่ยงด้านภัยพิบัติที่เกิดจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ (Interactive Hazard Mapping Platform จะช่วยเราให้รับมือความเสี่ยงนี้ได้

Addressing Climate Disruption with a Disaster Risk Map
Thailand remains one of the countries facing climate disruption, with increasingly unpredictable seasons. From urban management and disaster preparedness to policies and social welfare systems, climate risks need to be recognised so that we can prepare before disasters strike. The Interactive Hazard Mapping Platform, which identifies disaster risks driven by climate change, can help us better prepare for these risks.
UNDP is working with the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Creagy Company Limited, and more than 22 organisations from across sectors to introduce, discuss, and test the Interactive Hazard Mapping Platform.
🗺️ Serving as a spatial database to support climate change risk assessments
🗺️ Integrating data on seven key hazards, including floods, droughts, landslides, storms, coastal erosion, heat index, and hotspots
🗺️ Helping users better understand and accurately analyse risks across different areas
The Interactive Hazard Mapping Platform was developed under the Development of Thailand’s Fifth National Communication (NC5), which reports on Thailand’s climate change situation and climate change policies, as well as the development of Thailand’s Second Biennial Transparency Report (BTR 2), which reports on Thailand’s greenhouse gas emissions under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Work is work, whether at home or outside — and it deserves equal pay, regardless of gender.
On International Equal Pay Day, let's take a look at the gender pay gap and the ongoing global efforts to advance equality at work, so that women and men receive equal pay for work of equal value.
Women globally earn about 78 cents for every dollar earned by men, while the global gender pay gap stands at around 20%.
This gap is linked to several factors, including:
💰 Barriers to reaching higher-level positions
💰 Women being concentrated in certain roles
💰 Bias in hiring and promotion
💰 Unequal care responsibilities

Another important factor is unpaid care work. Women spend more than 2.5 times as many hours as men on unpaid care work, including household tasks and caring for children and older people.
Achieving equal pay is not only about how people are paid. It is also part of building equal workplaces where everyone is treated fairly. The Inclusion Toolkit for organizations and businesses provides 3 approaches that can be adapted to different business contexts to help build workplaces where everyone has an equal opportunity to grow.

ในวันค่าจ้างเท่าเทียมสากล ชวนมองปัญหาช่องว่างค่าจ้างระหว่างเพศ และความพยายามอย่างต่อเนื่องในการสร้างความเท่าเทียมในการทำงาน เพื่อให้ผู้หญิงและผู้ชายได้รับค่าตอบแทนที่เท่าเทียมกันสำหรับงานที่มีคุณค่าเท่าเทียมกัน

เมื่อพูดถึงสถานการณ์น้ำในภาคอีสาน หลายคนอาจนึกถึง “ภัยแล้ง” แต่ความจริงแล้ว หลายพื้นที่ยังต้องเผชิญกับปัญหา “น้ำท่วม“ อีกด้วย 🌊
ภาคอีสานต้องรับมือกับความท้าทายเรื่องน้ำ ทั้งน้ำมากเกินไปในบางช่วง และน้ำน้อยเกินไปในบางช่วง
🔍 เฉลย : ข้อ Ⓒ เผชิญทั้งน้ำท่วมและภัยแล้ง
🌊 หลายจังหวัดในภาคอีสานเผชิญความเสี่ยงจากทั้ง ‘ภัยแล้ง’ และ ‘น้ำท่วม’ โดยเฉพาะ ‘จังหวัดนครราชสีมา’ สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าความท้าทายด้านน้ำไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นเพียงด้านใดด้านหนึ่ง

การท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์บนเกาะเต่าถูกนำเสนอบน Nikkei Asia ฉายภาพให้เห็นความร่วมมือของทุกภาคส่วนบนเกาะเพื่อลงทุน-อนุรักษ์เกาะเต่า ตั้งแต่การระดมทุน จัดสรรงบประมาณ ปรับโมเดลธุรกิจ จนถึงลงมือทำโดยชุมชน

Invest Together, Protect Together: Koh Tao’s Sustainable Tourism Model, A Way Forward for Island Destinations 🌊🐠
Koh Tao’s conservation-based tourism model has been featured in Nikkei Asia, showcasing how stakeholders across the island are working together to invest in and protect Koh Tao—from mobilising and allocating finance to adapting business models and turning conservation into community-led action.
Since 2022, Koh Tao Municipality and UNDP BIOFIN in partnership with KrungThai Bank and Raks Thai Foundation, have introduced a model that collects a THB 20 fee from each visitor to support the conservation of coral reefs, seagrass, mangroves and wetlands. It demonstrates how communities can mobilise their own resources to protect nature, strengthen coastal ecosystems, and inspire visitors to become part of safeguarding Thailand’s marine biodiversity.
Today, tourism on Koh Tao is becoming a force for both nature and communities—so people can thrive, and the ocean can too.
