On 11 September 2026, CED, BRAC University, and Issara Institute organized two follow-up sessions with garment workers in Moshurikhola, Hemayetpur.
The main purpose of these sessions was to review important topics from the previous training, strengthen participants’ understanding of what they had learned, and encourage them to use this knowledge in their daily lives and workplaces.
The sessions covered workers’ rights, wages and working hours, leave and other benefits, personal hygiene, and workplace health and safety. The importance of being aware of workplace risks, using protective equipment, and maintaining a safe working environment was also discussed.
A total of 50 garment workers participated in the two follow-up sessions, with 25 participants in each session. They shared their experiences and had the opportunity to learn new things from one another.
Through these follow-up sessions, the workers gained a better understanding of the topics they had learned earlier. They expressed their interest in using this knowledge and working together to create a healthy and safe working environment.

সিইডি, ব্র্যাক ইউনিভার্সিটি এবং ইসারা ইনস্টিটিউটের উদ্যোগে ১১ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬ তারিখে মশুরিখোলা, হেমায়েতপুরে পোশাক শ্রমিকদের নিয়ে দুটি ফলো-আপ সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
এই সেশনের উদ্দেশ্য ছিল আগের প্রশিক্ষণের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলো আবার মনে করিয়ে দেওয়া, শ্রমিকদের অভিজ্ঞতা জানা এবং শেখা বিষয়গুলো দৈনন্দিন জীবন ও কর্মক্ষেত্রে কাজে লাগাতে উৎসাহ দেওয়া।
সেশনগুলোতে শ্রমিক অধিকার, মজুরি ও কর্মঘণ্টা, ছুটি ও অন্যান্য সুবিধা, ব্যক্তিগত স্বাস্থ্যবিধি এবং কর্মক্ষেত্রে স্বাস্থ্য ও নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। এছাড়া কাজের সময় ঝুঁকি সম্পর্কে সচেতন থাকা, সুরক্ষা সামগ্রী ব্যবহার এবং নিরাপদ পরিবেশ বজায় রাখার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরা হয়।
দুটি সেশনে ২৫ জন করে মোট ৫০ জন পোশাক শ্রমিক ফলো-আপ সেশনে অংশ নেন। তারা নিজেদের অভিজ্ঞতা শেয়ার করেন এবং একে অপরের কাছ থেকে নতুন বিষয় জানার সুযোগ পান।
এই ফলো-আপের মাধ্যমে শ্রমিকরা আগের শেখা বিষয়গুলো আরও ভালোভাবে বুঝতে পারেন। তারা অর্জিত জ্ঞান কাজে লাগিয়ে সুস্থ ও নিরাপদ কর্মপরিবেশ গড়ে তুলতে একত্রে কাজ আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন।
