বাংলাদেশের তৈরি পোশাক (RMG) শিল্পে শ্রমিকদের সচেতনতা আরও বৃদ্ধি করতে CED-BRAC University/Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB) এবং Issara Institute যৌথভাবে ২৪ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে সাভারের হেমায়েতপুরে ৩০ জন RMG শ্রমিককে নিয়ে দিনব্যাপী সচেতনতামূলক প্রশিক্ষণের আয়োজন করে।

প্রশিক্ষণে কর্মক্ষেত্রের নিরাপত্তা, স্বাস্থ্য, মজুরি ও শ্রমিক অধিকারসহ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলো নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। অংশগ্রহণকারীরা নিজেদের বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা তুলে ধরেন এবং বিভিন্ন সমস্যার বাস্তবসম্মত সমাধান নিয়ে মতবিনিময় করেন।

এই কার্যক্রমটি CED–Issara যৌথ উদ্যোগের অংশ, যার লক্ষ্য হলো RMG শ্রমিকদের মধ্যে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা। এই উদ্যোগের আওতায়

বাংলাদেশে Issara–CED Bangladesh Helpdesk পরিচালনা করছে CED। প্ল্যাটফর্মটি Facebook-এর পাশাপাশি হটলাইন, WhatsApp, Telegram এবং TikTok-এর মাধ্যমেও সেবা প্রদান করছে।

Issara–CED Bangladesh Helpdesk বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ, মালয়েশিয়া, ইন্দোনেশিয়া এবং মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের বিভিন্ন দেশে অবস্থানরত বাংলাদেশি শ্রমিকদের সহায়তা প্রদান করছে, যাতে প্রবাসীরা সহজে প্রয়োজনীয় সহায়তা পেতে পারে এবং নিরাপদ ও দায়িত্বশীল কর্মপরিবেশ নিশ্চিত হয়।

Strengthening Worker Voice in the Bangladesh RMG Industry
CED-BRAC University/Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB), in collaboration with Issara Institute, recently organized a daylong training session on worker voice and awareness for 30 RMG factory workers in Hemayetpur, Savar on 24 April 2026.
The session focused on key workplace issues, including safety, health, sexual harassment, wages, and workers’ rights. The training created a safe space where workers openly shared their real-life experiences and discussed practical solutions.
This training is a part of the broader CED-Issara collaboration to strengthen worker voice systems and awareness among RMG workers. As part of this initiative, the Issara–CED Bangladesh Helpdesk is being managed by CED in Bangladesh. The platform is accessible through Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/IssaraCED.BDHelpdesk) along with channels such as hotline, WhatsApp, Telegram, and TikTok.
The Helpdesk has been actively supporting Bangladeshi workers in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Middle East countries, ensuring stronger access to support and responsible workplace practices.

𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗲𝘁𝗽𝘂𝗿
On April 28, 2026, CED-BRAC University / Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB), in partnership with Issara Institute, conducted a focused training session in Hemayetpur for 30 RMG professionals.
The session went beyond traditional training by creating a supportive space for open conversations. Participants actively discussed key workplace topics, including occupational safety and health, wage transparency, labor rights, and the prevention of harassment.
An important feature of this collaboration is the Issara–CED Bangladesh Helpdesk, managed by CED. This multi-channel support system—available via Facebook, WhatsApp, and more—continues to assist workers both within Bangladesh and in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and across the Middle East.
Strengthening awareness and encouraging open dialogue among workers helps build a more responsible, inclusive, and safer RMG sector.

১৫ মে ২০২৬ তারিখে মশুরিখোলায় ১২টি গার্মেন্টস ফ্যাক্টরির ৩০ জন শ্রমিককে নিয়ে Issara Institute এবং CED, BRAC University-এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত একটি সচেতনতামূলক কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

Proud to share highlights from our recent awareness training session hosted by Issara CED Bangladesh Helpdesk on May 18, 2026, in Moshurikhola, Hemayetpur.
With 30 enthusiastic participants from 18 garment factories in attendance, our training focused on three vital pillars for a sustainable workplace. We kicked off with occupational health and safety by emphasizing proper protective gear to eliminate workplace injuries. This was followed by health and hydration education, equipping workers with crucial hygiene practices and heatwave care strategies to maintain wellness. We also encouraged greater awareness around workplace harassment by discussing its different forms, promoting respectful behaviours, and inspiring participants to support a culture of accountability and mutual care.
A safe, healthy worker is an empowered worker. By investing in these foundational pillars, we are not just protecting individuals, but we are strengthening the entire supply chain and boosting global compliance standards across Bangladesh.

On April 28, 2026, the Issara–CED Bangladesh Helpdesk successfully conducted a specialised training session for 30 RMG workers in Jamgora focused on Worker Voice and Rights.
Key pillars of the training were to ensure a secure environment for every worker, equipping workers with knowledge, and fostering dialogue to address and prevent workplace harassment.
The Issara–CED Bangladesh Helpdesk continues to serve as a vital resource for workers locally and globally.
