Thomas, I'd like to share island-centric scuttlebutt, including pix, etc. about the next chapter in our lives since April 2012, when we first arrived on island. As I write this tonight, I can tell you that our move to the islands has been a very positive and enlightening one, a watershed moment that has culminated in a brand new chapter of life ever since we arrived on island last year. In my humble opinion, "mid life" isn't a crisis unless you feel that you've missed something along the way. In the case of huz Bobby and me, and BFF Dave and his wife Jeanne, we are now evolving into the next stage of our lives, which is already here, and that I have coined Mid-life Island Oasis. That's not to say that we don't have everyday problems and challenges like everyone else on the planet; the difference is that it's easier to keep in perspective and to understand on a granular level what's really important and what's not. Thus, my objective with The Coconut Telegraph page is to give you a bird's eye view of our perceptions and experiences living in what we view as one of the most beautiful places we've ever lived in our lifetimes, and under the umbrella of the US mainland, which is a critical component of our living simply, both as a family and a small biz owner.
