Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Good Shepherd Bangkok who welcomed us warmly at their compound. It was a great opportunity for learning while witnessing impactful works they have done in caring for women and children.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

We listened to and learned from the four sub-regions in Asia on the last day, including the challenges, recent contexts, their successes and good practices in carrying out Caritas mission. The session aligns very well with inaugural address of Cardinal Isao Kikuchi, President of Caritas Internationalis, to the conference. He reminded us that the Church's ultimate mission is to make Christ's love visible in the world - and that mission rests on three living pillars:

*Sensitivity: calls us to truly listen - not just with our ears, but with hearts capable of recognizing the suffering of others. In that listening, we encounter Christ himself.

**Synergy: reminds us that Asia's extraordinary diversity is a blessing, not a challenge. When we share experiences and journey together, our collaboration becomes a living proclamation of the Gospel.

***Spirituality: grounds everything. Christian charity is not social work alone - it is first a response to God's love. Our relationship with Christ must be the DNA of all we do.

Together, let us listen deeply, walk together, and let love lead.

The second day of the conference was allocated for sharing of Caritas Asia strategic framework, including its process and its progress to date. We are grateful to hear continuous commitment and supports of the member organisations and the global partners to journey together in this challenging time.

We are inspired by the words of His Excellency Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana, Archbishop of Bangkok, Thailand that “In response to the situation of the poor in Asia, the church fosters the spirit of synodality by accompanying them, giving them special attention, attending to their issues, ministering to the youth, taking care of the common home and acting as bridges of love and reconciliation. In journeying with them, the poor can also teach us”

We kicked off 2026 Regional Conference and Partners’ Forum on Tuesday, 9 June 2026 bearing the theme “Synodality: Sensitivity, Synergy and Spirituality; All for Caritas – Solidarity”. In his inaugural address, H. Em. Tarcisio Isao Kikuchi, SVD, President of Caritas Internationalis, mentioned that we cannot close our eyes from the reality of the poor. Today, our world is wounded. Humanity cries out. Sometimes people become indifferent to the suffering of others. Caritas is the Gospel made visible through compassion, closeness, and services.
