: A 20-year Finnish study, published by Harvard Health Publishing, tracked more than 2,300 middle-aged men and found something striking. Those who used a sauna 4+ times a week had a 30% lower risk of all-cause mortality. In short, regular heat exposure didn’t just feel good — it was linked to living longer.

Researchers point to improved cardiovascular function, reduced blood pressure, lower inflammation, and the hormetic “good stress” of heat as key mechanisms. Frequent sauna users also saw far fewer fatal heart events, from sudden cardiac death to coronary artery disease.

So the next time you’re sitting in the heat at either Ice House locations, remember: you’re not only unwinding — you might be doing your health a quiet little boost.
