The Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association (AITAA) and its global Chapters join the people of Thailand in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. Her Majesty’s lifelong devotion to the well-being of the Thai people and her tireless efforts to preserve the nation’s cultural heritage stand as a lasting testament to her grace, compassion, and leadership.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the people of Thailand during this time of profound loss. Her Majesty’s legacy of kindness, wisdom, and service will continue to inspire the AIT community and all who had the honor of witnessing her enduring contributions to the Kingdom and its people.

The Bureau of the Royal Household announced Friday night that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother passed away peacefully at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at 9.21 p.m. on October 24, 2025. She was 93 years old.
