Bangkok Joins Hands with UNESCO to Celebrate International Jazz Day 2026, Marking the 100th Anniversary of Lumphini Park

Bangkok — The vibrant spirit of music and cultural diversity came alive at Lumphini Park as the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, in collaboration with UNESCO, hosted International Jazz Day 2026 under the theme “In the Key of Peace.” The event also marked the historic 100th anniversary of the park, widely regarded as the “green heart” of Bangkok.

Held on May 3, 2026, at Lumphini Hall, the celebration welcomed an overwhelming turnout of music enthusiasts, artists, and audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds. The event underscored the power of jazz as a universal language—bridging borders, cultures, and communities through rhythm and shared human expression.

The program featured an inspiring lineup of Thai and international jazz artists, whose performances blended global influences with local cultural elements. Set against the natural backdrop of the park, the evening transformed the venue into a dynamic stage of harmony, creativity, and connection, where music became a conduit for peace and mutual understanding.

This celebration forms part of the global observance of International Jazz Day, an initiative led by UNESCO to promote peace, intercultural dialogue, and artistic collaboration worldwide. Today, we stand together to mark World Press Freedom Day 2026 under the theme:
“Shaping a Future at Peace: Promoting Press Freedom for Human Rights, Development, and Security.”

A free and independent press is not just a pillar of democracy—it is the voice of the people, the guardian of truth, and a catalyst for positive change. In a world facing complex challenges, from conflict to inequality, journalism plays a vital role in promoting transparency, accountability, and understanding.

📰 Press freedom empowers human rights by giving a voice to the unheard and shining a light on injustice.
📈 It drives development by informing communities, fostering innovation, and enabling informed decision-making.
🛡️ It strengthens security by countering misinformation and building trust within societies.
🕊️ It nurtures peace by encouraging dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect.

Happy International Labour Day 2026

On this important occasion, UNPKFC proudly joins the global community in celebrating and honoring the dedication, resilience, and invaluable contributions of workers around the world who continue to build and strengthen our societies.

This year’s theme, “Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate,” reminds us of a growing global challenge. Climate change is reshaping workplaces everywhere—bringing increased risks such as extreme heat, unpredictable weather, air pollution, and unsafe working conditions. These challenges directly affect the health, safety, and well-being of workers across all sectors.

Now more than ever, we must prioritize safe and healthy working environments by adapting to these changes. Governments, employers, and organizations must work together to strengthen safety standards, raise awareness, invest in protection systems, and ensure that every worker is safeguarded, regardless of role or location.

Every worker deserves dignity, protection, and the right to return home safely. By adopting sustainable practices and climate-conscious policies, we can reduce risks and build stronger, safer workplaces for the present and the future.

On this International Labour Day, UNPKFC calls for unity, responsibility, and collective action to create workplaces that are safe, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.

The world has reached a tipping point where "indifference" is the highest price we will ever pay.

With less than 5 years (1,700 days) remaining until the 2030 Agenda deadline, this is no longer a time for dreams. It is a time for decisive, radical action.

The United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC), through its sustained efforts in advancing global cooperation and development initiatives, hereby elevates “Pathways to Prosperity” as a top-priority global mandate.

UNPKFC Young Peace Ambassadors Continue Their Mission of Giving: Hosting a Luncheon and Sharing Joy Through Music at the Foundation for the Handicapped Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother

The UNPKFC Young Peace Ambassadors, under the United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC), continue to drive their mission of fostering a society of giving and continuous sharing.

With a focus on both physical well-being and emotional care, the ambassadors recently visited the Foundation for the Handicapped Under the Patronage of HRH the Princess Mother in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, to host a special luncheon for the children.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy. Following the heart-warming lunch, the spirit of generosity continued with a music therapy session led by Master Thammasorn Leungmongkholkul (Nong Lookball), a UNPKFC Young Peace Ambassador. Through his musical talents, he performed heartfelt melodies, creating an environment of friendship and kindness.

The performance served as more than just entertainment; it was a way to provide emotional healing and deliver encouragement, filling the hearts of all the children with positive energy.

The UNPKFC Young Peace Ambassadors participated in the official television recording to offer royal well-wishes to Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary on June 3, 2026, at Royal Thai Army Television Channel 5 (RTA TV Channel 5).

Led by Miss Japitcha Wongchayathongsiri, Project Manager of the UNPKFC Young Peace Ambassador Program, the delegation of youth ambassadors participated in this ceremony to express their profound loyalty and deep gratitude for Her Majesty’s boundless benevolence toward the Thai people.

During the recording, Miss Kornkan Guypetch served as the lead representative for the Young Peace Ambassadors, humbly delivering the royal well-wishes on behalf of the delegation:
