The ‘Off Season’
Enough said about the damages we all are facing today due to the pandemic. For this reason, I have been waiting and waiting for the right time to continue pursuing my dream project. It seems to get further away with the multitude of delays, and many openings that we put on hold.
I hate not knowing what will happen next and having little control over this.
Talking with two good friends, & , the same people who believed in us since day one of Plus Six Six Group (our biggest supporters) it gave me a more positive perspective of our current situation.
‘How often in our lives that we can stop and take time to re-group, to rediscover ourselves, and to take care of family’. I suddenly imagine the basketball player, playing non-stop league with no off season. There is little time to evaluate the player performance, no time to focus on improving skills.
Here is what I realised… this is my ‘off season’. A time to find out more about myself of what my true purpose of cooking is. It is a time to work on my craft. I want to take this time to travel more, learning, researching, exploring, and cook more through collaborations and pop ups.
I believe this process is vital to me, in order to achieve something I have never done before, and to be the best I can be, whilst staying true to myself and my craft.
