Sweet old Corn,who has lymphoma, is still with us and determined to stay.

The tumour from his lymp nodes below his ear has spread completely under his jaw. It's hard but is painless, so I've researched.

Corn never cries and is happy to be with his sister Lilly who watches over him. The cloth over his eyes helps keep the flies away from his face. It works very well. We give him palliative care to make sure he's comfortable.

We've agreed that if Corn starts crying and won't eat, it's time to stay goodbye. Until then, he wants to stay and even gets up to walk to see his girlfriend who lives at the far end of his pen.

When trauma runs deep and nightmares are real, the ability to trust simply disappears.

This is Oun. Once a gentle temple dog with a family, her world shattered when the new Abbot’s aggressive dogs moved in.

Terrified every single day, she eventually fled to survive—choosing the dangers of the open road over the daily terror of the temple.

Rebuilding a broken spirit takes endless time and quiet devotion. I visit Oun almost every day, slowly earning piece by piece of her fragile heart. But if I miss just a few days, that paper-thin layer of trust shatters—and I have to start all over again.

Oun isn't broken; she's just desperately trying to protect herself. She deserves a life where fear doesn't dictate her days, and we won't give up on showing her that she is finally safe.

Little Mee (Bear) is one of the happiest and most energetic dogs in the temple.

She's fiesty too! If any of her friends try to push her around she comes back with a snarl to frighten them off!

She can run up steep hills and down steep steps without a breather, except to say Hello and Goodbye.

Mee has survived all the tragedies at the temple because she's clever and she's fast.

A small miracle happened at the temple today. Seetar, the previous Abbot's young dog has been missing for a week. Only when we arrived at his house did the monk tell us.

She disappeared when there was a funeral and the monk believed she went there. How she arrived at the temple cremation meeting room without being chased and bitten by the new Abbot's aggressive dogs, I can't imagine.

We went there and thought the chances of finding her very small. She'd probably been attacked and could have died from her wounds. Thep called her in his doggy call but no dog appeared. He tried several times and suddenly Seetar appeared from nowhere!

We gave her sausages with her de-tick meds inside which she gobbled down. She didn't look thin but I suspect she hadn't been fed for a week. The rest is in the pictures.

Sweet old Nam Tan (Brown Sugar) has got bronchitis. The non stop rain over the past 2 weeks has laid him low.

When I saw Nam Tan coughing and gagging, we immediately isolated him. Every rainy season Nam Tam starts coughing. We put jackets on him and give him Baytril antibiotic. This year his coughing was worse 😫 so we quickly isolated him. He slept all day today clearly exhausted from constant coughing.

Infectious bronchitis, known to most of you as Kennel Cough is incredibly infectious. We had a bad outbreak 4 years ago and know the signs.

First, thank you to the 3 caring people who've donated to help us keep Mummy pain and infection free. Mummy is fighting hard and knows we're doing all we can to help her by wagging her tail every time we visit her.

After her tumour ulcerated yesterday evening,, something we'd desperately tried to avoid, we took Mummy to our local vet for treatment.

Necrosis had set in over the entire tumour so the vet carefully cut away all the dead skin to expose the centre. She has a very large hole which we'll need to dress twice a day. The vet warned is that the tumour on her foot will probably ulcerate too.

As Mummy is also suffering from blood parasites and we need to ensure her immune system doesn't get any weaker. 2 days ago she had a temperature of 40.2C, but happily after an injection it came down and was normal the next morning. She's eating her high protein diet and walking around on all 4 legs.

We don't have the luxury of inpatient vet care so we have to undertake all Mummy's palliative care. This is a daunting task and we'd appreciate your support with comments and hearts.

Please leave a heart before you scroll on past Mummy fighting skin cancer and blood parasites.

I've never seen a case like this in the years we've treated several skin cancer cases. Since her vet visit 2 days ago when a skin sample was taken for a biopsy, Mummy's leg tumours have worsened. One has burst.

Amazingly, the other small tumours on her body haven't swollen, one has even shrunk. Mummy will have another visit to our local vet tomorrow in the hope he might have an explanation.

We've asked for donations to help us give Mummy the best care, but non have been received. Times are hard but a few $$$ or Thai baht would make such a difference. Details are in the comments.

Abby, recently rescued from the temple, loves sweet, timid old Fancy

Fancy has seizures, which she has medication for. In this video Fancy is just recovering from a seizure which lasted a few minutes.

Abby went over to Fancy when she was calm, and started to lick her face. She didn't stop after a few seconds, she continued to lick Fancy's face until she was sure Fancy was over the worst.

We watched these beautiful moments in awe of Abby's care and Fancy's acceptance of it ❤️

Dogs can teach us a thing or two about compassion and trust.

Mummy was so brave having the skin cut off one of her tumours for a biopsy. Now we have to wait 10 days for the result and then decide what treatment Mummy will need. Meanwhile we're giving her the best palliative care to ensure she's not in pain and continues to eat well.

Her x-ray showed her cancer hasn't invaded her organs or lower leg bones where the infected tumours are.

As expected her blood work isn't good with low level red blood count and high level white blood count due to her badly infected tumours. Both her kidney and liver readings were either moderate or normal.

What I didn't want to hear was that Mummy has E-canis blood parasites that needs to be treated urgently with her cancer. We know when a dog's immune system is lowered, dormant blood parasites kick in.

Poor Mummy also had a temperature of 39.2C which isn't surprising due to the blood parasites and tumour infection.

Please continue to give Mummy your hearts and hugs. We have a lot of work to ensure she remains pain-free and continues to enjoy her life.
