Thank you everyone for your hearts and hugs for Ellen. Sadly she didn't have her sister Eleanor's strong will to live as she died during the night.

Bang, one of our staff, is looking after our house while we're away and she brought Ellen into the house so she could treat her and watch over her. Ellen didn't die alone in her bed, Bang was watching over her as she slipped away.

Thep is particularly upset about Ellen's sudden passing as she was a great favourite of his. He brought her in from the temple many years ago as she wasn't doing well there and she lived happily at our Healing Centre for many years.

RIP sweet Ellen and run to meet your sister Eleanor who's waiting for you.

The pictures of Ellen were taken about 4 years ago when she was healthy and strong.

Is Eleanor calling her sister Ellen?

As you all know, Eleanor very sadly left us 3 weeks ago. I visit her grave at the bottom of our garden every day. Now her sister Ellen has suddenly become very ill in just a few days.

These sisters didn't stay together. Eleanor lived with us for many years as she was being bullied by some of her contemporaries. Ellen has always lived outside with all our other rescue dogs.

Yesterday, just after we left for our much needed break, we got a phone call from one of our girls saying Ellen couldn't stand, didn't want to eat and looked very unwell. We told her to take Ellen to the vet immediately. Her temperature was 41.2c which is life threatening. The day before she was completely normal and eating well.

Ellen was given several injections, medication and a warm jacket. This morning she was even worse. She couldn't keep anything down except water, so we rushed her back to the vet. We asked him to test her for blood parasites. She's had 2 treatments for blood parasites over the years and the vet said the snap test would show positive due to the anti-bodies in her blood. She did, but the test showed it was a very light attack, if it was an attack at all.

The vet told us not to give Ellen Doxycycline as she is far too weak for this strong antibiotic. He prescribed vitamin B tonic to be injected daily and a daily subcutaneous drip. As she's about 18 years old, he felt her chances or survival were small but if she's a fighter like her sister, she may prove him wrong.

Please send this sweet old dog lots of hearts and hugs for her survival. Thank you

It was fantastic to welcome Delphine back, all the way from Switzetland, after six years. She volunteered with us three times before Covid stopped all travel.

Delphine has generously sponsored our sweet little Crystal after the sad death of Fluke following a heart attack from fireworks.

Crystal must have remembered Delphine from the kisses she got! Our long term volunteers from Switzetland took Delphine back to her bungalow In style.

Six puppies have just had their first vaccination. They were so brave and didn't make a sound.

We never let them see the needle but they know something is going on. As soon as it's finished, we put them down they're running around as if nothing has happened.

Repeat performance in three weeks!

These sweet temple dogs, who we've cared for since tiny puppies dumped on the roadside, will never be forgotten. They will remain in our hearts and remind us of what love and compassion means.

Karma will ensure that the perpetrators of such cruelty will endure a fate as harrowing as the one they forced upon these sweet innocent souls.

Our hearts are almost broken again. 4 more sweet temple dogs are missing. 2 were found dead and decomposing and 2 have disappeared. They probably ran into the undergrowth after being poisoned.

The Abbot said he didn't know how they died, but we know that if dogs die at the same time, it can only be poison.

This temple, where we've cared for the dogs for 18 years, is turning into a killing fields.

We missed last week's visit as we had several emergencies. When we arrived yesterday I was shocked to see how few dogs came to greet us. There wasn't one monk at the temple to ask what happened. Thep phoned the Abbot today who told him the sad news

That's a total of 16 dogs poisoned inside the temple grounds since tge new Abnot took over. Whoever is doing these cruel killings will burn in hell.

Please donate to our temple dog fundraiser to help us care for the lucky ones we've rescued and the remaining dogs at the temple. https://fnd.us/62iAF5?ref=em_4Cji3c_sh_7PZvDTgh4LC7PZvDTgh4LC

Happiness is when temple dogs follow you everywhere and have fun exploring hidden joys.

If you don't walk, they won't walk. If you don't climb 50 steps, they won't climb 50 steps.

We know our temple visits give the dogs the joy they've missed since their Daddy monk left the temple.

Hugs and hearts 💕 💞

This isn't a video about a dog being stroked. It's a video about working to win the trust of a traumatized young temple dog.

We've known Oun (Fatty) since she was a tiny puppy dumped in the temple with her 3 siblings. She's suffered so many traumas in the temple from losing a sister, losing her Daddy monk, a sister being adopted, and her great friend being poisoned.

To make matters worse, the new Abbot arrived with 10 dogs, 2 of whom bullied her. A few days later we found her sitting on the roadside waiting for food. We immediately got her in our car and brought her to our aHealing Centre

Oun has been with us for about 3 months. She's settling in with a group of timid dogs but she stays an outsider. Any sudden movement or loud noise spooks her and her tail is immediately between her legs.

Every evening I visit her and she runs to the gate wagging her tail. Oun loves her strokes and I can see her relaxing from her eyes but she never smiles. That's my next hurdle.

Please send our beautiful Oun lots of hearts and hugs to help her recover.

Please join the 5 fantastic supporters who, together, have donated $325 to help the ostracized Abbot and neglected the dogs we've had to take into our care. Our goal is $500.00. Please help us get there🙏🙏🙏
