Today was a great day🎉
2 days ago we got a message from a local who was asking if we rehome dogs. His furry best friend unfortunately passed away and he was looking for a new companion. And he was even looking for a bigger dog, which is not very common. People usually prefer little dogs. That made our hearts sing even louder 😍
So today our beautiful "Rambo" was adopted into his own family, where he will be spoilt and loved forever ♥️
We are so so happy for Rambo and his new family!

We had a lot of visitors, friends and volunteers in the last few weeks. That kept us busy but also happy and grateful!
From now Malee is having a little break from volunteers, which doesn't mean it's less work😉
Back with new volunteers in July ❤️

Yesterday we had a very special and emotional day at the shelter.
4 years ago Malee's husband Derek passed away💔
Derek and Malee started rescuing dogs many many years ago and he was the biggest supporter and loved all animals.
So every year, we try and celebrate Derek's life and make it special for our dogs and cats. As you can see they probably loved the delicious treat😉
We love you Derek and we make sure your work continues ♥️♥️♥️

Unfortunately we have an outbreak of distemper disease in our shelter. About 15 dogs are infected and 5 of them are critical 💔
With prompt, aggressive care dogs can recover fully from the viral disease, but the chance of not surviving or neurological damage is high 😒
We will try our best to save our dogs, but it's really costly and if this is over we have to have all animals at the shelter get vaccinated again against this disease. The costs will be immense and we really need your help with that 🙏🙏🙏

It took me almost 2 weeks to post this...
This beautiful dog is PT, she was rescued by Malee almost 3 years ago.
As soon as Malee sent me the first picture of her I fell in love with her❤️
I always dreamed and hoped one day I could bring her to me to Australia.
But life can be cruel, she became sick one day, Malee rushed her to the vet, but it was too late💔
We are shattered and still in disbelief!
My dearest PT, my heart and Malee's heart are broken, we miss you and love you 💔❤️💔❤️

Our days at the shelter are hard work with a lot of struggles and worries. But they are always filled with love, laughter, beautiful volunteers, helpers and hope♥️
We do everything to give our fluffy friends a better, safe life!
