Red Lionfish are considered to be one of the most adaptable fish in the Ocean and worldwide in areas such as the Great Barrier Reef they are actively hunted in a bid to reduce their ever rising population.✔️

As the Red Lionfish has very few natural predators, over time they can decimate the population of a fish species on a Coral reef.👍

Red Lionfish are not as abundant around Koh Tao and they are often seen by scuba divers at various dive sites.🤿

Become a Marine Protector and help save the ocean!🌍

Marine debris is dirty, ugly and dangerous to sea life and human health. Make a difference and learn how to help with the Dive Against Debris specialty course.👍

This PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris specialty trains divers to safely remove and report marine litter, turning every dive into a cleanup mission.🤿

Students learn the Search and Recovery techniques needed to retrieve debris without damaging fragile coral, followed by the rigorous sorting and logging of waste for global databases.✔️

Yesterday, we celebrated World Oceans Day! 🌍

A day to think about the extremely important role that the oceans play in all our lives, the dangers that are facing our oceans and the actions we can take to protect them.🌊

One of the main aims of the day is to remind people of the important role the ocean plays in our lives. Life began in the ocean.🦈

Our oceans controls the climate, providing heat in winter and cool air in summer. It also provides us with food and medicines as well as transport. ✔️

Working with Black Turtle Dive and Black Turtle Conservation, we to part in hosting lectures and workshops with a beach clean up, and other activities. In the hope of contributing to the conservation of our Oceans and in our roles as Marine Protectors. 🪸🐟

During the Marine Conservation Programs, you will learn to identify marine species, conduct underwater surveys, collecting ecological data.

Learning to analyse reef health using standardized research techniques, with each program building on the previous one. 🪸

This allows you to deepen your understanding of coral reef ecology, restoration, and monitoring.✔️

All our programs follow the Conservation Diver international standards, combining academic theory with real world data collection. 👍

Working with Black Turtle Conservation, on active research projects and contribute data used in long term reef monitoring around Koh Tao and Thailand.🌴
