Chauguay (meaning 'Grass Jelly' in Thai) was severely malnourished with a long list of health issues, which required ongoing medical care. On top of this, he also has severe psychological trauma which required ongoing rehabilitation. After 2 years of intensive care and rehabilitation, he is now recovering and learning to trust both humans and dogs again. Inspired by the life of Chauguay, the first dog I rescued 2 years ago from a physically and emotionally abusive environment in Thailand, I have become fully committed to improve the lives of as many soi dogs as possible through working with local communities on TNR projects, education, rescue, foster and find suitable homes for other soi dogs. My aim is to help reduce the number of stray dogs on the street, making Thailand a safer place for both humans and dogs to live together in harmony. Since 2022, almost 40 soi dogs are in my care to date. Some are placed in foster homes awaiting adoption, some remains in the community after sterilization, which I supply them with food and water daily with the help of local feeders, and provide them with medical care when needed.
