Since Jan. 2015 Trash Hero Ao Nang holds weekly beach cleanups every Sunday from 10 - 12. We pick up trash.

Latest venue is announced every Friday. WHAT DO TRASH HEROES DO?

-Action and Awareness. Whether a cigarette butt on the road, or 20,000 kilos from beaches – if we see it, we clean it! And as they say, actions speak louder than words. By spending just a few hours together picking up trash, people can see the real world consequences of being careless about waste.

-Education. We regularly visit sch

ools and back up hands-on experience with educational information about the impact that trash has on local communities and the global environment.

-Sustainable Projects. We create long-term projects that bring communities together to remove and better manage their waste, and strategies that reduce the amount of waste being produced in the future.

-Inspiration. We motivate people to become Trash Heroes in their everyday lives. Many Trash Hero Ao Nang volunteers have gone home to make their own heroic clean-ups around the world. Click here to see their stories. more on www.trashhero.org

Trash Hero Ao Nang Cleanup #409 :: 14.06.2026 :: 15 PPL :: 135 KG

We were lucky with the weather on Sunday afternoon! With rain falling almost every day lately, we were grateful that the skies stayed dry for our cleanup at Nopparat Thara Beach.

Fifteen volunteers, including three Trash Hero Kids, came together to help protect our coastline. Despite the challenging weather conditions of recent weeks, our team collected an impressive 135 kg of waste: 129 kg of general waste and 6 kg of recyclables.

Among the items collected were plastic bottles, food packaging, bottle caps, fishing gear, and other marine debris scattered along the shoreline.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make a positive impact on our environment. Every piece of litter removed is a step towards cleaner beaches and healthier oceans.

Trash Hero Ao Nang Cleanup #408 :: 07.06.2026 :: 14 PPL :: 140 KG

What perfect weather we had! Fourteen volunteers, including three Trash Hero Kids, joined us yesterday to clean Koh Kwang Beach.

There was a large amount of waste scattered along the shoreline, including plastic bottles, food packaging, straws, bottle caps, Styrofoam, and old fishing nets. Together, we removed an impressive 140 kg of waste from the beach.

A big thank you to Rimlay Restaurant for providing cold drinking water and allowing us to use their premises as our meeting point.

Next Sunday, we will be back at Nopparat Thara Beach, opposite the National Park bungalows, for another cleanup.
