we have rebranded!!! so excited to share that The Winston Foundation is now Winston’s Place! this change comes at a time when both our nations animal shelters and our personal mental health have reached the point of crisis. in order to help people and their pets, winston’s place is commited to providing free foster care and social services to individuals in need so that they may get the help that they deserve without having to worry about their pets or be forced to surrender them to a shelter. we are so excited to go in serving our community in the best way we know how, through lots of love, support, and a whole lot of treats 🐾🩵 please visit our new website at winstons-place.com for more information on what this new chapter looks like for us

this past week I had the great privilege of spending time with Soi Dog in Phuket, Thailand. established in 2003, this amazing organization has led the charge for animal welfare in southeast asia through their outreach, large scale spay and neuter, field medicine, rehabilitation, adoption, and emergency response programs, as well as through their tremendous efforts to end the dog meat trade in thailand. the people and animals at this incredible organization have left a massive impact on our hearts, and we cannot wait to continue to support them in their efforts to support stray and abused animals through Southeast Asia. to learn more about their programs and see how you can support their cause, please visit soidog.org.

SPECIAL NEEDS SOUL-LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL HOME 🩵
Meet our three year old buddy, Thor. Thor has been blind for the majority of his life. We do believe that he can see shadows but not much more beyond that. Regardless of his disability, he gets around very well, absolutely loves his dog bed and is a very sweet companion. Shelters are a very hard place for special needs pups to adjust, there’s a lot of noise, new people and not a 100% set routine.
Thor is eagerly hoping for a foster. Whether a foster to adopt, or a foster to keep him until a forever family comes along. He is looking to be the only pet at home. Thor would be a perfect companion for a house full of home bodies, that like to lounge, nap and relax. He is low energy, mellow and quiet. Once he knows your voice, a quick “Hi Thor!” Results in a major tail wag moment.
