Gaia Ashram อาศรมธรรมชาติ

Gaia Ashram is an ecovillage and education center on Permaculture, Ecovillage Design and Deep Ecology. Gaia Ashram is regenerating 6 hectares of degraded land.

Part of the land we are rewilding i.e. letting nature do its thing on other parts of the land we are actively reforesting and planting trees. We are also a farm and practice agro-ecology, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, natural farming and organic farming practices. Gaia Ashram provides trainings on organic and sustainable farming practices for local farmers.

อาศรมธรรมชาติมุ่งที่จะเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ที่ส่งเสริมการศึกษา ทดลอง เรียนรู้และฝึกฝนวิถีชีวิตตามแนวทางของธรรมชาติ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นด้านการเกษตร หรือด้านการฟื้นฟูสภาพป่าตามธรรมชาติ ด้านการกินอยู่ เช่นการกินอาหารเพื่อสุขภาพและการทำที่อยู่อาศัยโดยใช้วัสดุจากธรรมชาติ เช่น บ้านดิน ด้านการพัฒนาภายในด้วยการเจริญสมาธิภาวนา การฝึกโยคะ หรือการทำกิจกรรมอื่นๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมการมีชีวิตที่เรียบง่าย สมดุลและสอดคล้องกับธรรมชาติ

🌿Ecovillage Lifestyle Experience Week (ELEW)
Are you interested in community lifestyle? Are you curious about ecovillages? Do you want to spend time in and with nature and explore who you are in relation to yourself, others and nature around you?
At Gaia Ashram we value connection and awareness with ourselves, others and nature around us. These values are not only present in our hearts but also in our actions, in our way of life. These values are the basis of our lifestyle.
🌿In the Ecovillage Lifestyle Experience Week we will take you in 7 days on a journey back to questioning and finding connections with nature and designing a sustainable way of life in harmony with the natural world.
🙌🏼Together, we will learn about the principles and philosophies of Eco Village communities, which embody the essence of living in harmony with nature. We will also explore our inner selves and different ways of living, respecting the diversity of the people who come together to build this community. Through this experience, we will cultivate strong bonds of love and inspiration, appreciating the value of living life to the fullest.

🍕 🎉 An evening of shared food, laughter, and warmth around the fire.
Our community gathered to make pizzas together — kneading dough, topping with creativity, and sharing stories while the fire crackled nearby. As the sun went down, we moved into our main fire celebration, a space to connect, reflect, and simply be together.

🙌🏼 Moments like these remind us that community is built not only through work on the land, but through joy, presence, and shared rituals. Food cooked together tastes better, conversations feel deeper, and the fire brings us back to something ancient and grounding.

🌿 Grateful for everyone who showed up, shared their energy, and helped create such a beautiful night.

I am grateful to be alive and to enjoy the beauties of this planet Earth, which took billions of years in her journey of evolution to manifest every form of beauty and strength before me…
Yes, I believe in that story. Yes, I believe we are part of her evolution and manifestation. I believe we would not have been here if her journey of evolution hadn’t taken place exactly as it did. I believe that if any Earthly historical event hadn’t happened just so, I would not be here. I believe that the odds of anything being here now are both incredibly slim and finely precise. Yet it has all happened, and we are here and I am here.
There may be many beautiful planets out there in the vast, endless space of the many universes. However, all the beauty and magic that those planets may have to offer will not change my feelings of deep gratitude and admiration for planet Earth. Even if all her beautiful life forms may be dying off, degrading, poisoned, polluted, and devastated, I refuse to abandon her. Our three Natural Building interns helping finish the Mandala Garden at the Eco School today! 🌱✨
From shaping the soil to planting, mulching, and adding the final touches, they brought so much care, creativity, and teamwork to the space.
Thanks to their hands and hearts, the garden is now blooming into a beautiful learning space for the children.
Grateful for this team and the magic they add to the land every day. 💛🌿

marked the first day of our final Deep Ecology Course of 2025. (15-19 December, 2025)🌿✨
As the year comes to a close, it feels especially meaningful to gather with a group ready to explore connection — with nature, with community, and with themselves.
We began the journey by grounding into the land, slowing down, and opening space for presence and awareness. Deep Ecology invites us to look beyond the surface, to listen, to feel, and to remember that we are not separate from the Earth but an inseparable part of her living systems.
This last course of the year carries a special energy — a mix of reflection, gratitude, and the gentle excitement of inner transformation.
We’re grateful for each participant who chose to spend these final days of 2025 reconnecting with life in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Here’s to a powerful week ahead… and to ending the year in reverence, community, and ecological awareness.

🙌🏼 After weeks of preparing layers, building structure, adding drainage, soil, and compost, the rooftop finally welcomed its first roots.

🧱 Hands in the soil, sun on our backs, everyone working together to place each little plant with intention and care.

🌱 This green roof will help keep the houses cool, support biodiversity, hold water, and bring even more life into the space we’re creating. But beyond the practical benefits, it just feels beautiful to know that nature is now part of the architecture — growing, breathing, and becoming a living layer of each home.

🙌🏼 Our Natural Building Course participants and volunteers have been busy this week as the lower layers of the Gaia Residential houses continue to take shape. This stage may look simple from the outside, but it’s one of the most important parts of the entire build — it sets the foundation for strong, breathable, and long-lasting natural walls.
🧱 From preparing the earth mix to layering, leveling, and learning each technique with care, the group is diving deep into the craft of natural construction. Every handful of soil, sand, and straw becomes part of a future home — built with intention, community energy, and regenerative design principles.
