The Life Home Project Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under Thai Law. Our goals are to prevent the spread of HIV, help HIV-infected/affected people and AIDS patients. The Life Home Project began its mission by providing shelter to HIV affected females, promoting quality of life, and offering vocational training through arts and crafts. s to attend various Handicraft Workshops where they could learn to paint cards, shirts and many other items. The Bakery Workshop taught women to bake cakes and snacks, while the Sewing Workshop trained women to produce uniforms, pillowcases, and other products in demand, which were then sold. The Life Home Project also provided education for HIV affected women and their children, as well as helped HIV-positive persons and AIDS patients in the community and in hospitals. Providing an opportunity for these people to develop their skills and feel useful again has dramatically increased their self-esteem and confidence. As a result, the quality of life of many HIV infected people has improved tremendously and most have been able to return to their communities and to support themselves and their families. Access to anti-retroviral medications has also meant that HIV infected individuals can now lead healthier lives over the long term. Our children’s home offers a warm shelter and foster HIV affected children by caring and giving a higher quality of life than many would otherwise have. Our scholarship program specifically provides the funds for the children currently living in the project to attend school. These scholarships also extend to underprivileged kids in the community. Our day care service for children of HIV-affected families allows the HIV-infected parents to earn a living during the day while their children are being cared for. In this facility, we provide meals, child development exercises and general education for these children.
