🎬 World Refugee Day - Film Screening Tonight in Mae La! 🎬

Date: Thursday 18 June 2026
Time: 18.00 for 18.30 start (open from 17.30)
Venue: Zone B, B5b at Baw Naw Church, Mae La

Please join us this evening in Mae La Shelter for a special community film screening of Disney Pixar’s “Hoppers" as part of UNHCR’s World Refugee Day activities.
Through an engaging and family-friendly story, we explore this year’s theme of “Until Everyone is Safe” — not only as protection from harm, but also as the courage to adapt, learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
The screening will provide a safe and welcoming space for children, families, caregivers and community members to come together, enjoy a film, share moments of connection, and reflect on resilience, positive change, and new opportunities.

Excited to share this new publication from the Parenting on the Border Project! Congratulations to everyone involved and special mention to our talented refugee team who designed and produced the videos for the 6 Session Intervention and also co-created and produced the Being Family film.

We are pleased to share our latest publication which details the study protocol we used during our randomized controlled trial which tested a 6-session group intervention designed to improve both parenting behaviors and mental health outcomes among 480 migrant and displaced caregivers on the Thailand-Myanmar border.
