🏢 About RIMES:
The Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) is an international intergovernmental institution dedicated to multi-hazard early warning for Africa and Asia — established in the wake of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

📍 Location: AIT Campus, Pathumthani, Thailand
📝 Contract: Full-time, Project-based

🔑 Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop impact-based forecasting tools for floods & droughts
✅ Build and automate flood/drought monitoring systems
✅ Contribute to Post-Disaster Needs Assessments (PDNA)
✅ Apply AI/ML models for early warning & risk reduction
✅ Support capacity building for national disaster management agencies

📋 Requirements:
• Master's degree or higher in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in hydrological modelling & flood forecasting
• Proficiency in Python/R, GIS, and remote sensing
• Experience with flood models such as HEC-RAS, MIKE 11, Delft-FEWS, or LISFLOOD

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design & operationalize hydro-meteorological Impact-Based Forecasting (IBF) tools
• Analyze high-resolution weather & climate forecast products for extreme events
• Integrate AI/ML, GIS, and NWP models to support disaster risk decision-making
• Build capacity for national meteorological & disaster management institutions

✅ Minimum Qualifications
