We generate evidence-based research, build local leadership, and advocate for peace and development across Coastal West Africa and the Sahel. E2C( Education, Citizenship and Change) is a non-political association created by young people to enhance civic engagement in our country Togo. We strongly believe that the development of a country lies in the hand of each and every citizen of that country.
But how can a citizen contribute to the development of his/her country if he /she is not educated? It is for this reason that E2C was created to provide people with useful information about the rights and duties of a citizen, and the important role that the citizen has to play for the development of his/her community. Our activities are inter –allia courses on civism, debates ‘organization, public speaking contests, etc. All our activities are conducted by young dynamic people of our association. The courses are very interactive. We play social games before every course to create a good mood. Last year, we worked with students of a primary school, and this year we worked with students of a secondary school. Our vision is to extend our activities to all the regions of our country, because we are working only in Lome for the meantime. In E2C, we believe that change is possible if the youth is well educated and engaged in the process of development.
