In eastern Chad, where nearly 900,000 Sudanese🇸🇩 refugees have fled since 2023, water scarcity has been a daily struggle. Long queues, limited supply, and extreme heat have made access to safe drinking water a matter of survival.
Thanks to 🇮🇹 , new boreholes and water distribution systems have been installed, increasing the daily clean water supply and easing the burden – especially for women and children, who once spent hours fetching water under the scorching sun. Clean water is life. Thank you, Italy, for making it possible.
