๐ธ๐ฟ TEAM ESWATINI OFF TO MAURITIUS ๐ฒ๐บ
Today, Athletics Eswatini officially bid farewell to Team Eswatini at a send-off ceremony held at the EOCGA Head Office in Lobamba ahead of the CAA African U18/U20 Regional Championships in Mauritius.
The ceremony was attended by the CEO of the Sports Council, Dr. Darius Dlomo, EOCGA President Mr. Adam B. Mthethwa, Athletics Eswatini President Mr. Zakhele Dlamini, Athletics Eswatini Gender Chairperson Mrs. Nqobile B. Dlamini/Zwane, and Athletics Eswatini Communications Officer Mr. Mavikane Dlamini.
In their messages to the athletes, the dignitaries present spoke with one voice, encouraging the team to strive for excellence on the continental stage, make the nation proud, and represent the Kingdom of Eswatini with respect, discipline, and integrity both on and off the track.
Coach Siyabonga Ngwenya also shared a few words, expressing his delight at the continued investment in youth and junior athletics. He highlighted that these young athletes represent the future of Athletics Eswatini and commended the support being provided to nurture the next generation of national champions.
Led by Coach Siyabonga Ngwenya, the Athletics Eswatini delegation comprises:
1. Machawe Mahlalela โ 100m, 200m
2. Bandzile Simelane โ 100m, 200m
3. Yoliswa Simelane โ 100m, 200m
4. Earnshaw Sibonakaliso โ 800m, 1500m
5. Mvuselelo Mkhwanazi โ 400m
