Celebrating Youth Voices
As we approach Youth Day on 16 June, we are amplifying the voices of q***r young people and celebrating the diversity, resilience, and contributions of our community.
"Being q***r and young today means celebrating my identity while advocating for a world where everyone can be safe, seen, and valued for who they are."-FIFIE
Q***r young people continue to shape our communities through their courage, advocacy, and authenticity. Their voices deserve to be heard, their experiences valued, and their futures supported.

Pride Is About Joy, Love, and Safety

Pride is more than a celebration. It is a reminder that every person deserves to experience joy, love, and belonging without fear.

As we celebrate Pride, let us create spaces where people can be themselves, support one another, and look out for each other's wellbeing. A community that cares is a community that keeps us safe.

Celebrate safely. Support each other. Choose care, joy, and solidarity.

Register with ESGM and be part of a community rooted in dignity, love, and inclusion.

In June 1969, a police raid on a small gay bar in New York sparked days of resistance from LGBTI+ people who were tired of harassment, discrimination, and being told they did not belong. The Stonewall Uprising became a turning point in the fight for LGBTI+ rights and is why Pride is commemorated every June. While history remembers figures like Marsha P. Johnson and the courage shown during those nights, the legacy of Stonewall is not only found in acts of defiance, it is found in the refusal to disappear.

More than five decades later, the struggle for dignity, safety, and belonging continues. Today, resistance takes many forms: speaking your truth, building community, loving openly, claiming space, and choosing joy despite adversity. Every LGBTI+ person who lives authentically carries forward the spirit of those who stood up at Stonewall.

This Pride Month, we remember that presence is resistance. Existing openly in a world that has often tried to erase, silence, or marginalize LGBTI+ people remains a powerful act of courage and affirmation.

๐ŸŒˆ Happy Pride Month! ๐ŸŒˆ

This Pride Month, we celebrate love, diversity, courage, and the right of every person to live authentically and with dignity.

At United Youth for Sustainable Globe Eswatini (UYSG), we remain committed to creating safe spaces where LGBTQI+ young people are seen, heard, respected, and empowered. Through youth-led advocacy, community engagement, and rights-based programming, we continue to champion inclusion and equality for all.

Pride is more than a celebrationโ€”it is a reminder that every young person deserves to belong, thrive, and dream without fear.

Together, we stand for love. Together, we stand for inclusion. Together, we stand for human rights.
