We are Patrick and Leah Conti, two normal people who are embracing the adventure of serving God, wherever He leads. We are ending a season of living in Africa- having served the last 3 years in South Africa and Tanzania. After a combined 12 years of full-time ministry in 4 different countries, we have seen a theme develop in the global Church. Too often we see passionate people with a heart to ser

ve God become tired and worn down, often by being ill-supported or working too long without a respite. Our passion is to see missionaries and local pastors equipped and encouraged to do the work God has called them to from a place of health. We believe healthy ministers will serve the communities God has called them to more effectively. Our name, Juniper Table, is inspired by Elijah's restorative encounter with the Lord under a Juniper tree in 1 Kings 19. In the story, the angel of the Lord fed a discouraged Elijah to give him strength for the journey to Mount Sinai where he had an encounter with God. We want to set the table for ministers of the gospel to have a "juniper moment" as well. As the chapters of our story unfold you can help us strengthen these incredible leaders who are hungry to transform their communities through effective ministry. We can't and don't want to do this alone, and would love to have you on board!

23 women gathered last week for our first Women’s Connect Brunch of 2026.
We shared a meal, worshipped, and talked about something countercultural but crucial — slowing down to keep up with Jesus.

Then we actually did it. We practiced solitude - together. Women spread out in chairs and on picnic blankets across our property, quiet and still, listening and focusing our hearts towards God.
When we walked around calling the ladies back together, one woman said “This was the best part of my day.”
In the middle of full lives and full ministries, may we remember — we don’t have to do anything to let a shaken jar of water settle. We just have to leave it alone long enough. Our souls work the same way.

In spiritual direction a few months ago, I was given this poem. So as we start 2026, I share it here with you. May it encourage, comfort, and challenge you as it has me.

The Slow Work of God

Above all, trust in the slow work of God
We are quite naturally impatient in everything
to reach the end without delay
We should like to skip the intermediate stages.
We are impatient of being on the way to something
unknown, something new. And yet it is the law of all progress
that it is made by passing through
some stages of instability-
and that it may take a very long time. And so I think it is with you.
your ideas mature gradually – let them grow,
let them shape themselves, without undue haste. Don’t try to force them on, as though you could be today what time
(that is to say, grace and circumstances
acting on your own good will)
will make of you tomorrow. Only God could say what this new spirit gradually forming within you will be. Give Our Lord the benefit of believing that his hand is leading you, and accept the anxiety of feeling yourself

This week marks the second annual Hike - a global ministry that Patrick helped a group of men bring to Eswatini 🇸🇿.
67 men will head out to Malolotja Nature Reserve for 3 nights of backpacking and camping.
The XCC (Extreme Character Challenge) is designed to push men past their comfort zones—completely disconnected from the world to connect with God and other men. It’s incredible to see this global ministry (now in 25 nations!) taking root here in Eswatini.

“It feels like Heaven here”
That is what a recent pastor staying at the cottage said to us as we delivered dinner to his door during his 2-night retreat. His words reminded us of the purpose behind every detail we put into the spaces we provide to leaders: A moment of peace for a leader’s soul, an opportunity to connect with God. Heaven meeting earth.
When ministry leaders who rarely get a break can find a place where they can breathe, where meals appear at their door, where they can simply be rather than always do... this is why we created the Juniper Cottage.

To each of you who have given to make these moments possible: your generosity creates ripples that extend far beyond these few nights.

You are sending refreshed pastors back to their communities.

You are helping sustain marriages that sustain ministries.

You are providing space for incredible ministry leaders to encounter God’s presence in new ways so they continue serving in strength.

Feedback from two students after our Identity and Personality workshop last week. After having created this workshop a few years ago, I’ve been challenged to not plug and play but lean in and discern what God has for each group. This time we dove into Psalm 139 as our framework of truth to correct lies we have believed. We built on that foundation with one of the most internationally respected tools- Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator.
Seeing students letting the truth settle in that they are intentionally created on purpose for purpose- not matter what life has caused them to believe- that’s IT!
We love what Emerge is doing and are honored to cheer these incredible young adults on in this way!
