From improving their online presence and reaching new customers to embracing digital tools for business growth, entrepreneurs from Mtjodvweni Community in Ezulwini continue to demonstrate an inspiring commitment to learning and innovation.

Week after week, it is encouraging to witness their passion, resilience, and determination as they put new knowledge into practice and take meaningful steps towards growing their businesses. Through our Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Programme, Marydee Isibuko Serenity Foundation remains committed to creating opportunities that empower entrepreneurs with practical digital skills, fostering confidence, innovation, and long-term business sustainability.

The journey continues, and so does our commitment to empowering women to succeed in an increasingly digital world. On Friday morning, we had a very interactive session with the entrepreneurs.

Building successful businesses requires more than passion, it also requires the ability to adapt to a digital world!

Through our Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Programme, Marydee Isibuko Serenity Foundation has engaged women and youth entrepreneurs from the Mfabantfu Community (Ngonini) in a practical digital entrepreneurship training programme since mid July. Participants are exploring how digital tools can strengthen their businesses, expand their reach, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

We are inspired by their willingness to embrace innovation and invest in the future of their businesses.

Entrepreneur Testimonial | Foundations Programme on Digital Skills accredited by WIDB

Meet Zanele Masangane, an entrepreneur from Elangeni Community under Lobamba Inkhundla, who produces and sells Velvet Bean Coffee.

Before joining the Foundations Programme on Digital Skills offered by Marydee Isibuko Serenity Foundation and accredited by the Women in Digital Business (WIDB), Zanele's products were not properly branded or packaged, which made it difficult to attract customers and compete in the market.

Through the programme, she learned the importance of branding, packaging, and presenting products professionally. The knowledge she gained has helped her improve the appearance of her Velvet Bean Coffee, strengthen her brand identity, and increase customer confidence in her products.

"One of the biggest lessons I learned from the programme was the importance of branding and packaging. I now understand that customers are attracted not only to the product itself but also to how it is presented. The skills I gained have helped me improve my product presentation and market my business more effectively."

We are proud to see entrepreneurs like Zanele applying digital and business skills to transform their enterprises and create sustainable growth opportunities.

🎥 Watch her inspiring testimony and hear how the programme has helped elevate her business.

Yesterday, during Day 2 of the National Gender-Based Violence Dialogue hosted by the Royal Eswatini Police Service, where we participated through Liphimbo LaboMake, stakeholders explored the intersection between substance abuse, Gender-Based Violence, and the legal frameworks that exist to protect survivors and hold perpetrators accountable.

As Marydee Isibuko Serenity Foundation, these discussions resonate deeply with our commitment to prevention and community transformation. Through the Esangweni Boys Mentorship Programme, we invest in mentoring boys and engaging men as allies in promoting healthy relationships, positive masculinity, respect, and non-violence.

The dialogue reinforced the importance of addressing the root causes of violence while equipping communities with the knowledge and support needed to create safer environments for everyone. It also highlighted the role of the law in ensuring protection, justice, and accountability.
We appreciate the opportunity provided through Liphimbo LaboMake and CANGO to contribute to these important national conversations and to learn from the experiences and perspectives of other stakeholders committed to ending Gender-Based Violence.

We remain encouraged by the collective commitment demonstrated throughout the dialogue and dedicated to contributing towards a future where women, girls, boys, and men can live free from violence.

We are privileged to be part of the ongoing National Gender-Based Violence symposium Indaba hosted by the Royal Eswatini Police Service at TLC Auditorium, under the theme “Safer Communities: A Collective Response to Eliminating GBV".

We are representing Liphimbo LaboMake in this important national Indaba, joining other stakeholders in meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening collective responses to Gender-Based Violence in Eswatini.

The discussions continue to reinforce that addressing GBV requires unity of purpose and coordinated action. It is not the responsibility of one sector alone, but a shared commitment that calls for collaboration between institutions, communities, and individuals.

We are encouraged by the emphasis on prevention and strengthening systems that ensure timely and effective response mechanisms.

As Marydee Isibuko Serenity Foundation, we remain committed to advancing initiatives that promote safer, more informed, and more compassionate communities.
