THE LOVE OF GOD THAT RESTORES AND HOLDS YOU
The story of Moses shows us a love that is deeper than human understanding. Moses was chosen by God, walked in close relationship with Him, saw His power, and led His people with courage.
Yet even Moses had a moment of failure at Meribah in Book of Numbers 20, where he disobeyed God’s instruction.
Because of that moment, Moses was not allowed to enter the earthly Promised Land. But God did not remove him from His presence or cancel his calling. Discipline came, but separation did not.
What is beautiful is that Moses is still called God’s servant after that. His life did not end in rejection, but in a continued relationship with God.
And even more, in the Transfiguration recorded in Gospel of Matthew 17, Moses appears in glory with Jesus Christ, showing that his story was carried into eternity by God’s mercy.
This reveals the heart of God’s love: He corrects, but He does not abandon. He disciplines, but He does not discard. Even when He says “no” to something, He is still saying “you belong to Me.”
So when you make mistakes or fall short, remember that God’s love is not finished with you. Correction is not rejection.
Discipline is not abandonment.
If God is still shaping your life, it is because you are still His.
Stay close to Him, even in weakness, because His love is strong enough to restore you and faithful enough to carry you through.
