As Portia Active Love Foundation devoted to the protection and empowerment of children, we are horrified and heartbroken by the recent allegations of sexual violence involving a government official in Eswatini. These acts are a profound betrayal of trust and a devastating violation of the rights and dignity of the most vulnerable members of our society.
We stand in solidarity with the survivors and their families, offering our unwavering support and resources to help them navigate this unimaginable trauma. At the same time, we call for swift and transparent justice to hold the perpetrator accountable, regardless of their position or power. No one is above the law.
This tragedy underscores the urgent need for systemic change to protect children from abuse and to ensure that those in positions of authority are held to the highest standards of accountability. We remain committed to advocating for stronger safeguards, educating communities, and fostering a culture where every child is safe, valued, and free from harm.
Together, we can and must create a world where such atrocities are not only condemned but prevented. The time for action is now.
