π Matsapha Is Getting Smarter β Street Addressing Roll-Out Begins!
Today, Matsapha Town Council officially began the roll-out of physical street addressing signage across Matsapha, marking another step towards building a smarter, more connected and efficient town. ποΈπ
With Matsapha serving as a major industrial and business hub, accurate and reliable addresses are increasingly important, from helping emergency services reach people faster π, to making deliveries easier, improving utility and refuse collection, supporting proof of residence and strengthening the accuracy of municipal data.
The CEO welcomed stakeholders, introduced the Honourable Mayor and shared remarks on the importance of the Street Address Project, before the Mayor delivered the official address on the roll-out. The Mayor highlighted how the project will make properties easier to identify and locate, while improving navigation, public safety and access to services.
The programme brought together key stakeholders, including ESWASA and ESCCOM, who highlighted the importance of standardised addressing in supporting efficient and reliable service delivery.
The Town Planner further explained that the roll-out will be implemented in phases, zone by zone, and called on property owners and residents to support the process by allowing the teams to carry out the necessary work.
This is more than putting up street signs. It is about creating a smarter, more connected Matsapha where people, businesses and services can connect more efficiently and reliably.
