Sometimes, the best way to head into the weekend is by pausing to appreciate the everyday moments.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide a safe, nurturing space where children can simply be children - learning, playing, and growing together.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.” - Psalm 127:3

Thank you for being part of the story God is continuing to write in Bulembu.

We’re so proud of the Non-Formal Class at the high school and the amazing work they’ve been doing!

The students have been caring for and rearing chickens, helping to raise funds for special outings and activities. Alongside this, they are also learning how to grow and care for vegetables — building practical skills, responsibility, and confidence along the way.

It’s been wonderful to see their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm shine through in everything they do. A big thank you as well to Innocent Gamedze for the care, guidance, and encouragement he gives to the students each day.

Well done to everyone involved for creating such a meaningful and hands-on learning experience!

From 20–22 May 2026, The Potter's Wheel hosted a Foster Parent Training, bringing together 20 parents from the church along with other parents from across Eswatini who aspire to foster children.

The training created a meaningful space for learning, encouragement, and equipping families to provide safe, loving homes for children in need. It was inspiring to see so many individuals step forward with hearts ready to serve and make a lasting difference in the lives of children across the nation.

This past weekend, the Ladies Ministry Connect gathered for a beautiful time with Meagan and team.

The focus of the message was “El Roi” - the God who sees, reminding us that God is present in every detail of our lives and sees each of us personally in every season.

A special highlight of the day was Meagan’s kindness in donating donuts and milk for the children - a simple but meaningful treat that brought so much joy

A big thank you to everyone who joined for this special time, and a special thank you to Meagan and team for coming through and for their generous donation 💛 It was such a blessing having you with us!

Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to notice opportunities for improvement that can help things work even better.

One such opportunity has been around internet connectivity - ensuring more consistent and equal internet speeds across different parts of town so that we can all work as effectively as possible.

We’re very grateful that, thanks to the generosity of a donor who has contributed fibre cable, we’ll be able to significantly improve our internet speed and overall efficiency. This upgrade will make day-to-day work and communication even smoother.

A heartfelt thank you to the kind people who made this possible. Your support is truly appreciated!

Our Bulembu children recently took part in a one-day SBS Juniors netball tournament, playing against three other schools.

It was a good day of sport, teamwork, and learning through experience. The children played well, supported one another, and continued to grow in confidence throughout the matches. They also came away with one win, which was a great encouragement for the team.

More than the results, it was valuable for them to get exposure to other schools and enjoy the opportunity to play in a wider setting.

Days like these remind us how important it is for children to step out, try, grow, and have fun together.

Can you imagine trying to explain this to a teenager today? No touch screen, no apps, and definitely no TikTok - just you, a handful of coins (or a card if you were fancy), and a very public place to have a private conversation!

While smartphones may have replaced the booths, we love that reminders of the past still stand quietly around town - telling stories to anyone willing to notice them.

How many of you remember using one of these? Share your favourite “old school” tech memory with us below!

A good harvest and a lesson in perseverance

Khanisile and her team have been hard at work harvesting taro here in Bulembu Ministries. Earlier in the season, they had to contend with a porcupine enjoying the crop a little too much! But after putting up a fence to protect the field, the team was able to keep the harvest safe - and the results have been really encouraging.

We’re so grateful for the dedication and teamwork that goes into caring for our gardens and growing food for the community. Sometimes the journey comes with a few challenges, but it’s always worth it in the end.
