Wir setzen uns ein für Kriegsflüchtlinge, Katastrophen-, Gewaltopfer und verfolgte Christen und andere Minderheiten weltweit. ARAMAIC RELIEF International ist ein gemeinnütziges Hilfswerk mit Sitz in Baar/ZG und erbringt im Sinne der tätigen Nächstenliebe humanitäre Hilfe für notdürftige Menschen, Kriegsflüchtlinge, Gewaltopfer und Kinder in Not. Der Fokus liegt dabei in der Entwicklungs- und Soforthilfe für verfolgte Christen und andere Minderheiten im kriegszerrütteten Syrien und im Nordirak: Wir gehen dorthin, wo wegen des Krieges niemand mehr hinzugehen wagt und erreichen die intern vertriebenen Flüchtlingsfamilien, die von der internationalen Unterstützung oft nicht mehr wirksam erreicht werden können. Unsere Hilfeleistungen umfassen Lebensmittelpakete, Kleiderverteilungen, medizinische Versorgung und Notoperationen, Schutzgewährung und Obdach-Unterstützung sowie soziale und psychologische Programme und Bildungsprojekte für Kinder und Erwachsene. Die Verantwortlichkeiten bei ARAMAIC RELIEF International in der Schweiz verteilen sich auf die sechs Mitglieder des Vorstands, welche sich mit viel Engagement für das Hilfswerk einsetzen. Der Vorstand trifft sich in regelmässigen Abständen, um neue Hilfsprojekte zu planen, bestehende zu optimieren und Spendenkampagnen durchzuführen. Er entscheidet über den Einsatz der Spendengelder und informiert die Spender per Email, Website und detailliert im alljährlichen Jahresbericht über die aktuellen und realisierten Hilfsprojekte. Wir stehen für den Schutz und Anerkennung der christlichen und anderen Minderheiten im Nahen Osten. Der Verein verfolgt keine kommerziellen Zwecke und erstrebt keinen Gewinn. SPENDENKONTO

Standing with Hama's Communities

In partnership with our local partner, ARAMAIC RELIEF International distributed food assistance to vulnerable families in Hazour, Deir Mama, and neighboring villages in Hama Countryside.

Beyond the distribution, we met with community members and local leaders, witnessing firsthand the resilience, dignity, and strength that define these historic communities.

Our medical and surgery project in Syria brings hope every quarter to vulnerable people who cannot afford lifesaving treatment. Through urgent medical support and surgeries, we help patients regain their health, dignity, and the chance to care for their families again.

One of these patients is Ms. Sanaa, a mother of two in her fifties who suffered unbearable pain from a torn meniscus that left her unable to walk or work. Living in extreme poverty, she had lost all hope of affording surgery. Thanks to the support of Aramaic Relief, Sanaa successfully underwent knee surgery and is now recovering with renewed hope. Today, she can walk again and looks forward to returning to work and supporting her family once more.

Lebanon is currently facing a severe humanitarian and economic crisis that continues to affect millions of people across the country. Rising poverty, inflation, unemployment, and limited access to basic services such as healthcare, electricity, and food have made daily life extremely difficult for many families. Vulnerable communities are especially struggling to meet their essential needs amid the ongoing instability and challenging living conditions.

In response to this difficult situation, we distributed food boxes to vulnerable people and families in Lebanon to help support them during these challenging times and provide relief to those most in need.

Amid Syria’s ongoing economic and social hardships, many elderly people in Aleppo are living in deep vulnerability, struggling to afford food, medication, and basic care while facing loneliness and isolation. In response, the Mother Teresa Project was launched to support elderly women and men through nutritious meals, life-saving medication, home visits, and compassionate daily assistance. Inspired by the spirit of Mother Teresa, the volunteer team offers more than material aid, they bring companionship, dignity, and hope through presence, care, and human connection. Through heartfelt visits and intergenerational activities, the project reminds the elderly that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

ARAMAIC RELIEF supported the distribution of Easter baskets to 100 vulnerable families in Aleppo, Syria bringing not only food but moments of joy and dignity to children and their parents.

In the midst of hardship, these small gestures helped families celebrate together and feel remembered.

In the village of Ain al-Zubda in rural Tartous, an important aid project was carried out: by distributing eggs and chickens, families in greatest need were given new hope and a chance at better nutrition.

200 families, including those with sick members and women-led households, were able to better care for their children and regain a sense of security in their daily lives. Assistance was also felt in the village of al-Rihaniyah: children from poor families received warm winter jackets. What is taken for granted by many provided them with protection from the cold, better health, and the opportunity to go to school without fear.

These projects do more than provide support, they restore dignity, warmth, and hope.
