A renewed partnership for the people of Syria🤝
Today, the Government of the Republic of Korea and the United Nations officially launched Phase II of the Korea-funded humanitarian and early recovery initiatives in Syria.
The launch ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Geon Gyusuk, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Syria; Ms. Im Hye Rim, Director of the Multilateral and Humanitarian Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea; members of the Korean delegation and Embassy team; and esteemed representatives from Syrian government ministries; the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Syria; and representatives of UNDP, UNICEF and WFP.
Building on the achievements of the first phase, this renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting vulnerable children, women and families while helping communities recover and strengthen their resilience.
Through complementary initiatives implemented by UNDP, UNICEF and WFP, the programme will expand access to education, health, nutrition and food assistance, support livelihoods, and essential services, and contribute to recovery and resilience efforts across Syria.
We are grateful to the Government of the Republic of Korea for its continued partnership and solidarity with the people of Syria. Together, we remain committed to helping children, families and communities access the services and support they need to build a better future.

شراكة متجددة من أجل الشعب السوري
أطلقت حكومة جمهورية كوريا والأمم المتحدة اليوم رسمياً المرحلة الثانية من المبادرات الإنسانية ومبادرات التعافي المبكر المموّلة من جمهورية كوريا في سوريا.
وشهد حفل الإطلاق حضور سعادة السيد غيون غيوسوك، سفير جمهورية كوريا لدى سوريا والسيدة إيم هي ريم، مديرة شعبة الشؤون متعددة الأطراف والإنسانية في وزارة خارجية جمهورية كوريا؛ إلى جانب أعضاء الوفد الكوري وفريق السفارة؛ وعدد من السادة ممثلي الوزارات في الحكومة السورية؛ والمنسقة المقيمة للأمم المتحدة في سوريا؛ وممثلي برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي واليونيسف وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي.
واستناداً إلى الإنجازات التي تحققت خلال المرحلة الأولى، تعكس هذه الشراكة المتجددة التزاماً مشتركاً بدعم الأطفال والنساء والأسر الأكثر ضعفاً، مع المساهمة في تعافي المجتمعات وتعزيز قدرتها على الصمود.
ومن خلال مبادرات متكاملة ينفذها برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي واليونيسف وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي، سيسهم البرنامج في توسيع فرص الوصول إلى التعليم والصحة والتغذية والمساعدات الغذائية، ودعم سبل العيش والخدمات الأساسية والمساهمة في جهود التعافي وتعزيز الصمود في مختلف أنحاء سوريا.
ونعرب عن امتناننا لحكومة جمهورية كوريا على شراكتها المستمرة وتضامنها مع الشعب السوري. ومعاً، نجدد التزامنا بمساعدة الأطفال والأسر والمجتمعات على الحصول على الخدمات والدعم الذي يحتاجونه لبناء مستقبل أفضل.
