في ظلّ الظروف الاقتصادية الصعبة وارتفاع تكاليف المعيشة التي تثقل كاهل العديد من العائلات في حلب، قام فريقا دوركاس في مركزي الهلك والميدان المجتمعيين بتوزيع سلل غذائية على العائلات الأكثر احتياجًا.

تأتي هذه المبادرة ضمن جهود دوركاس المستمرة لتعزيز الأمن الغذائي، والتخفيف من الأعباء اليومية، وتوفير الاحتياجات الأساسية للأسر الأكثر هشاشة.

In light of the difficult economic situation and the rising cost of living affecting many families in Aleppo, Dorcas teams at Hellok and Al-Midan Community Centers distributed food parcels to families most in need.

ساعدت الجلسة المشاركات على التعرّف إلى طرق عملية للتعامل مع التحديات اليومية، وتعزيز صحتهن النفسية ضمن بيئة داعمة ومحفّزة.

كما شكّلت الأنشطة اليدوية فرصة للتفريغ النفسي والتعبير الذاتي، وساهمت في تعزيز ثقة السيدات بقدرتهن على الإبداع والإنتاج.

At the Dorcas Community Center in Harasta, women took part in a psychosocial support session that combined dialogue and handicraft activities, offering a safe space to express emotions and daily pressures.

The session helped participants explore practical ways to cope with daily challenges and strengthen their mental wellbeing in a supportive and encouraging environment.

The handicraft activities also provided an opportunity for stress relief and self-expression, while helping women build confidence in their ability to create and produce.

Dorcas continues to support women through activities that help them feel stronger, more confident, and better equipped to face daily life.

خلال شهر نيسان، نظم فريق مركز الميدان المجتمعي في حلب جلسات دعم نفسي وتوعية لطلاب المدارس، شملت أطفالًا من عمر 7 إلى 12 عامًا ويافعين من عمر 13 إلى 17 عامًا.
وفّرت الجلسات مساحة آمنة للأطفال واليافعين للتعبير عن أنفسهم، والتعرف على مشاعرهم، واكتشاف نقاط قوتهم ومواهبهم. ومن خلال الحوار والأنشطة التفاعلية، تعلّم المشاركون طرقًا صحية للتعبير عن المشاعر، ومهارات الاستماع، والتواصل باحترام.
ساهمت الجلسات في تعزيز الثقة بالنفس، وتشجيع المشاركين على فهم ذواتهم بشكل أفضل، وبناء علاقات إيجابية مع من حولهم.

During the month of April, the team at the Al-Midan Community Center in Aleppo organized psychosocial support and awareness sessions for school students, reaching children aged 7 to 12 and adolescents aged 13 to 17.

The sessions provided a safe space for children and adolescents to express themselves, understand their emotions, and discover their strengths and talents. Through dialogue and interactive activities, participants learned healthy ways to express feelings, practice listening skills, and communicate with respect.

The sessions helped build self-confidence, encouraged participants to better understand themselves, and supported positive relationships with those around them.

As part of Dorcas’ commitment to supporting mental health through sport, Al-Midan Community Center in Aleppo, in partnership with Baroudeurs de L’Espoir, launched the first session of the Play and Debate Project.

The project aims to support children and strengthen their physical and psychosocial wellbeing, based on the belief that sport is not only a physical activity, but also a safe space for emotional release, confidence-building, and stress reduction.

The first session combined light physical exercises with an open discussion, making sport a bridge toward a more balanced mind and a healthier life.

بمناسبة عيد الأم، شاركت مجموعة من الأمهات وأطفالهن في جلسة في مركز حرستا المجتمعي.

خلال النشاط، قامت الأمهات بصناعة حقائب يدوية بسيطة وجميلة، كهدايا رمزية لأنفسهن ولأمهات أخريات، في أجواء دافئة أتاحت لهن مساحة للتعبير والمشاركة.

كما شكّلت الجلسة فرصة لتبادل لحظات مؤثرة من رحلة الأمومة، والتعبير عن مشاعرهن والتأمل في الدور الكبير الذي تؤديه الأم في حياة أسرتها ومجتمعها.

وفي الوقت نفسه، أعد الأطفال هدايا رمزية لأمهاتهم، حملت في بساطتها الكثير من الحب والامتنان، وأضافت مزيدًا من الفرح إلى هذا اليوم.

واختُتمت الجلسة بلفتة جميلة، حيث قامت إحدى المشاركات بتحضير قالب حلوى منزلي وتقديمه عربون محبة وتقدير لمركز دوركاس المجتمعي، تقديرًا للمساحة الآمنة والداعمة التي يوفرها باستمرار للنساء والأطفال.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, mothers and their children took part in a special session at the Harasta Community Center.

During the activity, mothers created simple and beautiful handmade bags as symbolic gifts for themselves and for other mothers, in a warm atmosphere that encouraged expression and connection.

The session also offered space to share meaningful moments from the motherhood journey, reflect on the important role of mothers, and celebrate their presence within the family and community.

At the same time, children prepared symbolic gifts for their mothers. Though simple, these gifts carried heartfelt messages of love and gratitude, adding to the joy of the day.

The session concluded with a thoughtful gesture from one of the participants, who prepared a homemade cake as a token of appreciation for the Dorcas Community Center and the safe, supportive space it continues to provide for women and children.

هدفت الورشة إلى توفير مساحة للتخفيف النفسي من خلال التعبير الإبداعي، مع تقديم صناعة الشموع كمهارة عملية يمكن أن تفتح فرصًا بسيطة للدخل. تعلّمت المشاركات أساسيات العمل واستكشفن كيف يمكن تطوير هذه المهارة إلى مشروع صغير.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Harasta Community Center organized a candle-making workshop as part of its ongoing activities to support women in the community.

The workshop offered a space for psychological relief through creative expression, while introducing candle-making as a practical skill that can support economic empowerment. Participants learned the basics of the craft and explored how this skill could grow into a small income-generating opportunity.

The activity concluded with a discussion on women’s rights and responsibilities, and the significance of International Women’s Day, observed every year on March 8.
