في خطوة تعكس أهمية تمكين المجتمعات المحلية، نظّمت الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية دورة تدريبية تخصصية لأفراد النواة المجتمعية في حي جورة عواد في مدينة حلب، بهدف تعزيز قدراتهم ودعم دورهم في قيادة مبادرات تُحدث أثراً إيجابياً في مجتمعاتهم.
خلال التدريب، تعرّف المشاركون على أساليب فهم واقع المجتمع من خلال تحليل الاحتياجات، وقراءة التحديات المحلية، وتحديد الأولويات التي تستحق التدخل.
كما ركّزت الدورة على كيفية تصميم المبادرات المجتمعية، والتخطيط لها، والاستفادة من الموارد المتاحة، إلى جانب ابتكار حلول مستدامة تستجيب لاحتياجات المجتمع وتساهم في تنميته.
وشهدت الجلسات تفاعلاً مميزاً، حيث تبادل المشاركون خبراتهم وأفكارهم، وناقشوا رؤىً لمبادرات يمكن أن تُحدث فرقاً حقيقياً في مناطقهم، مؤكدين أن العمل المجتمعي يبدأ من فهم الاحتياجات والإيمان بقدرة الأفراد على صناعة التغيير.
لأن التنمية المستدامة تبدأ بأشخاص يؤمنون بمجتمعاتهم، فإن الاستثمار في بناء قدراتهم هو الخطوة الأولى نحو مستقبل أكثر تماسكاً وازدهاراً.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen local capacities and empower community members to play an active role in their communities, the Syrian Society for Social Development organized a specialized training for members of the Community Core Group in Joura Awad neighborhood.
The training focused on two key areas: understanding the community through needs assessment, local context analysis, and identifying priority challenges; and developing community initiatives through effective planning, resource management, and designing sustainable solutions.
The sessions witnessed strong engagement from participants, who shared their experiences, exchanged ideas, and explored practical initiatives that can create a meaningful impact in their communities and contribute to sustainable, community-led development.
Lasting development begins with empowered people who understand their communities and are equipped to lead positive change. Investing in local capacities is an investment in a stronger, more resilient future.

في إطار أنشطة "مجموعات الصداقة" التي تنظمها الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية (SSSD) في حلب، اجتمعت مجموعة من الأمهات في جلسة حملت عنوان "أنتِ مهمة للمجموعة". وسلطت الجلسة الضوء على أهمية الدعم المتبادل، والشعور بالانتماء، وبناء علاقات تساعد الأفراد على مواجهة تحديات الحياة.
وقد شاركت إحدى المشاركات تجربتها قائلة:
"كنت أعيش في ظلام وأشعر بفقدان الأمل في حياتي. لكن بعد انضمامي للمجموعة والتزامي بها، تغيرت حياتي؛ فقد تطورتُ أنا وأطفالي، وتعلمتُ تقبّل واقعي. واليوم، أصبحت هذه اللقاءات نافذتي على العالم".
كما عبّرت مشاركات أخريات عن الأثر الإيجابي للمجموعة، قائلات:
• "في مجموعتنا، تجد كل واحدة منا من يفهمها ويدعمها".
• "معاً، نحن أقوى".
• "دعم بعضنا البعض يُحدث فرقاً كبيراً".
تضمنت الجلسة رحلة عبر الذكريات المشتركة، وتبادل الخبرات، وأنشطة تفاعلية، ولحظات مبهجة تخللها الضحك والرقص، مما خلق أجواءً عززت روابط التواصل والانتماء بين المشاركات.
لأن الدعم الحقيقي يبدأ حين يدرك الناس أنهم ليسوا وحدهم؛ فمعاً نصنع مساحات آمنة، وننمّي الأمل، ونترك أثراً مستداماً.

As part of the Friendship Groups activities of the Syrian Society for Social Development (SSSD) in Aleppo, a group of mothers came together for a session titled "You Matter to the Group." The session highlighted the importance of mutual support, a sense of belonging, and building relationships that help individuals navigate life's challenges.
One participant shared:
"I was living in darkness and felt hopeless about my life. After committing to the group, my life changed. My children and I have grown, and I have learned to accept my reality. Today, these meetings are my window to the world."
Other participants also reflected on the group's positive impact, saying:
• "In our group, everyone finds someone who understands and supports them."
• "Together, we are stronger."
• "Supporting one another makes all the difference."
The session included a journey through shared memories, the exchange of experiences, interactive activities, and joyful moments of laughter and dancing, creating an atmosphere that strengthened connection and belonging among the participants.
Because true support begins when people know they are not alone. Together, we create safe spaces, nurture hope, and make a lasting impact.

نأخذكم اليوم في جولة بين تفاصيل مغامرة ساحرة أسرت قلوب صغارنا ورحلت بهم إلى عوالم ملؤها الإبداع والمرح.

معاً... انطلق أطفالنا في رحلة خيالية رفقة "الساحرة الطيبة"، ليعيشوا أجواءً فريدة عُزفت ألحانُها برائعة أفكارهم البريئة وزاهي مخيلتهم. لم تكن مجرد مغامرة عابرة، بل كانت مساحة ملهمة لتجسيد روح التعاون والعمل الجماعي؛ حيث تضافرت جهود أياديهم الصغيرة المبدعة في جمع وتأليف عناصر "الوصفة السحرية" بكل حماس وشغف.

واكتملت السعادة بحبٍ ومرح، حينما امتزجت الألوان والمكونات لتصنع أشهى "حلوى سحرية"، تاركةً في ذاكرة أطفالنا أثراً جميلاً وبصمة فرح لا تمحى.

من الأجواء المتميزة التي أبدعت في تقديمها النواة المجتمعية في مدينة مصياف لأبطال النادي الصيفي.

Together... our children embarked on a magical journey alongside the "Kind Witch," immersing themselves in a unique atmosphere composed by their innocent ideas and vivid imaginations. It was more than just a fleeting adventure; it was an inspiring space that brought team spirit and collaboration to life, as their little creative hands joined forces with endless passion and enthusiasm to gather and craft the elements of the "magic recipe."

The joy was complete with love and laughter as colors and ingredients blended together to create the most delicious "magical treats"leaving a beautiful, unforgettable mark of happiness in our children's memories.

ضمن استراتيجيتها الشاملة للارتقاء بواقع الصحة الجنسية والإنجابية، قادت الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية تحركاً ميدانياً فاعلاً في مركز "بستان الباشا" بمحافظة اللاذقية، متوّجاً بسلسلة من المبادرات التوعوية والتدخلات المباشرة لدعم الصحة والنظافة الحيضية لدى النساء والفتيات.

ولم تقتصر هذه المبادرة على الجانب الإرشادي فحسب، بل استهدفت إحداث أثر مستدام من خلال تمكين المستفيدات وتزويدهن بأفضل الممارسات الصحية والعلمية لإدارة الدورة الشهرية بفعالية وأمان. كما شكلت هذه الجلسات منصة حيوية ومساحة آمنة للحوار المفتوح، أتاحت للمشاركات طرح استفساراتهن بشفافية، وأسهمت في تفكيك الوصمة وتصويب المفاهيم المجتمعية الخاطئة بمرجعية علمية دقيقة.

وتتويجاً لهذه الجهود التنموية، اختُتمت الفعاليات بتقديم استجابة ملموسة تمثلت في توزيع حقائب متكاملة لمستلزمات النظافة الشخصية؛ في خطوة استراتيجية لا تقف عند حدود تلبية الاحتياجات الفسيولوجية الأساسية، بل تضع نصب عينيها صون كرامة المرأة، وتعزيز حصانتها الصحية والنفسية، ودعم قدرتها على ممارسة حياتها اليومية بثقة وأمان.

Within its comprehensive strategy to advance sexual and reproductive health, the Syrian Society for Social Development (SSSD) spearheaded an impactful field intervention at the "Bustan al-Basha" center in the Latakia Governorate. This effort culminated in a series of awareness-raising initiatives and direct interventions aimed at supporting menstrual health and hygiene for women and girls.

This initiative extended beyond mere guidance; it aimed to create a sustainable impact by empowering beneficiaries and equipping them with the best scientific and health practices for safe and effective menstrual hygiene management. Furthermore, these sessions served as a vital platform and a safe space for open dialogue, allowing participants to transparently voice their inquiries. They actively contributed to dismantling stigmas and correcting societal misconceptions through an accurate scientific lens.

To crown these developmental efforts, the activities concluded with a tangible response: the distribution of comprehensive personal hygiene kits. This strategic step transcends merely meeting basic physiological needs; it is fundamentally designed to preserve women's dignity, fortify their physical and psychological well-being, and empower them to navigate their daily lives with confidence and security.

لم تكن الفيضانات الأخيرة التي غمرت مجرى نهر الفرات مجرد حدثٍ طبيعي أو ارتفاعٍ عابر في منسوب المياه، بل كانت اختباراً قاسياً لصلابة العائلات في ريف دير الزور الشرقي، بعد أن جرفت السيول معها بيوتهم، وأرزاقهم، وذكرياتهم.

ومن قلب هذه المعاناة، وفي تلبيةٍ لنداء الواجب الإنساني، تواجدت فرق الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية (SSSD) على الأرض لتكون السند لأهلنا المتضررين. وإيماناً منا بأن التضامن هو جوهر العمل الإنساني في أوقات الأزمات، سارعت الجمعية بتنفيذ استجابة طارئة شملت توزيع قسائم نقدية متعددة الأغراض، وذلك بدعم كريم من المجلس الدنماركي للاجئين (DRC) وبالتنسيق الوثيق مع الجهات المحلية.

إن هذا الدعم النقدي يتجاوز كونه مجرد مساعدة مادية؛ إنه أداةٌ لتمكين الأسر النازحة والمتضررة، ومنحها الحق والحرية في تحديد أولوياتها واختيار احتياجاتها الأساسية بمرونة، بما يحفظ لها كرامتها الإنسانية ويعينها على بدء رحلة التعافي.

The recent floods of the Euphrates River were far from a mere natural event or a temporary rise in water levels; they were a harsh test of resilience for families in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, as the torrents swept away their homes, livelihoods, and memories.

From the heart of this suffering, and in response to the humanitarian call of duty, the teams of the Syrian Society for Social Development (SSSD) were on the ground to provide a lifeline for our affected people. Guided by our deep conviction that solidarity is the core of humanitarian work during times of crisis, the Society swiftly implemented an emergency response. This intervention included the distribution of multi-purpose cash vouchers, generously funded by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and carried out in close coordination with local authorities.

This cash assistance goes beyond mere financial aid; it is a vital tool for empowering displaced and affected families, restoring their right and freedom to identify their own priorities and choose their essential needs with full flexibility. Ultimately, this approach preserves their human dignity and supports them as they begin their journey toward recovery.
