ضمن لقاءات مجموعات الصداقة في الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية، في حلب، اجتمع الأبناء من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة مع امهاتهم ضمن مجموعة قوس قزح، في لقاء حمل عنوان: "التعامل مع المراهقين وصعوبة هذه المرحلة".
كان اللقاء مساحة للحوار الصريح وتبادل التجارب حول التغيرات النفسية والسلوكية التي يمر بها الأبناء خلال فترة المراهقة، وكيف يمكن للأهل أن يرافقوهم في هذه المرحلة بصبر ووعي، ويساعدوهم على بناء شخصياتهم وتعزيز قدرتهم على التعبير والتواصل.
شاركت إحدى الأمهات تجربتها قائلة:
"هذه الجلسات تنور عقلي وتدفعني للبحث، مما انعكس إيجاباً على عائلتي وطريقة استيعابي لأفكار أبنائي واحترامها."
وخلال النقاش، تحدثت الأمهات عن التحديات اليومية التي تواجههن، وأكدن أن هذه المرحلة تحتاج إلى الكثير من الصبر والإصغاء وفهم احتياجات الأبناء، إلى جانب البحث عن طرق تواصل أكثر فاعلية، خاصة عندما يلجأ المراهق أحياناً إلى الصراخ للتعبير عن رغباته أو احتياجاته.
واختُتم اللقاء بعرض فيديو توضيحي تناول طرقاً واعية وعملية للتعامل مع الأبناء في هذه المرحلة، قبل أن تتحول الأجواء إلى لحظات من الفرح والمرح، من خلال الألعاب الحركية والرقص والأنشطة الترفيهية التي جمعت الأمهات والأصدقاء في مساحة مليئة بالبهجة.
فكل مرحلة تحمل تحدياتها، لكن وجود من يصغي ويفهم ويدعم يمكن أن يصنع فرقاً كبيراً في رحلة أبنائنا نحو بناء شخصياتهم بثقة وأمان.

As part of the Friendship Groups activities organized by the Syrian Society for Social Development in Aleppo, children and adolescents with disabilities and their mothers came together as part of the Rainbow Group for a session titled “Supporting Adolescents Through the Challenges of This Stage.”
The session provided a safe space for open dialogue and sharing experiences around the psychological and behavioral changes that children and adolescents experience during adolescence. It also explored how parents can support their children through this stage with patience and awareness, helping them build their personalities and strengthen their ability to express themselves and communicate.
One mother shared her experience, saying:
“These sessions broaden my perspective and encourage me to learn more, which has had a positive impact on my family and on the way I understand and respect my children’s ideas.”
During the discussion, mothers spoke about the daily challenges they face and emphasized that adolescence requires patience, active listening, and an understanding of children’s needs. They also discussed the importance of finding more effective ways of communication, particularly when adolescents sometimes resort to shouting to express their wishes or needs.
The session concluded with an informative video highlighting practical and mindful approaches to supporting children and adolescents during this stage. The atmosphere then shifted into moments of joy and fun through movement games, dancing, and recreational activities that brought mothers and friends together in a space filled with happiness and positive energy.
Every stage comes with its own challenges, but having someone who listens, understands, and offers support can make a meaningful difference in our children’s journey toward building their personalities with confidence and security.

في مدينة حلب، بالشراكة مع منظمة ZOA، تدريباً متخصصاً في إدارة وتأسيس المشاريع الصغيرة، استمر على مدار ثمانية أيام، بهدف دعم المشاركين بالمعرفة والمهارات اللازمة لتحويل أفكارهم إلى مشاريع واقعية ومستدامة.
شارك في التدريب 45 مستفيداً ومستفيدة من المرشحين لنيل المنح المالية الصغيرة، وجرى تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين، بواقع أربعة أيام تدريبية لكل مجموعة، بما أتاح مساحة للتعلم العملي وتبادل الخبرات والتجارب.
خلال الجلسات، تعرّف المشاركون على أسس إعداد خطط الأعمال، وإدارة الموارد المالية، ودراسة احتياجات السوق المحلي، إلى جانب مهارات تساعدهم على اتخاذ قرارات أفضل وإدارة مشاريعهم بما يعزز استقرار أسرهم وسبل عيشهم.
يقول أحد المشاركين:
"كلنا كان عنا أفكار لمشاريع، والتدريب ساعدنا على تنظيمها وتحويلها لخطط عمل واقعية. تعلمنا كيف ندير الموارد اللي عنا بحكمة ونضمن استمرارية المشروع وسط الظروف الصعبة."
أما إحدى المشاركات، فتصف أثر التدريب قائلة:
"التدريب ما كان بس مهارات وإدارة، هو فعلياً رجّع لنا الأمل والثقة بإمكاناتنا، وصرنا نعرف كيف نعتمد على حالنا حتى نأمّن عيلتنا ونطوّر حالنا."
فالتمكين الاقتصادي لا يعني فقط توفير فرصة للعمل، بل منح الأشخاص الأدوات والثقة ليصنعوا فرصهم بأنفسهم، ويخططوا لمستقبل أكثر استقراراً لهم ولعائلاتهم.

The Syrian Society for Social Development, in the Aleppo city. in partnership with ZOA, has concluded a specialized training on small business management and development, held over eight days to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to turn their ideas into realistic and sustainable businesses.
The training brought together 45 beneficiaries, selected as candidates for small financial grants. They were divided into two groups, with each group participating in four days of training, creating space for practical learning and the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
Throughout the sessions, participants learned the fundamentals of business planning, financial resource management, and assessing local market needs, alongside practical skills to help them make informed decisions and manage their businesses in ways that contribute to the stability of their families and livelihoods.
One participant shared:
"We all had ideas for businesses, and the training helped us organize them and turn them into realistic business plans. We learned how to manage the resources we have wisely and ensure the continuity of our businesses despite the difficult circumstances."
Another participant described the impact of the training, saying:
"The training was not only about skills and management. It actually restored our hope and confidence in our abilities. We now know how to rely on ourselves to support our families and develop ourselves."
Economic empowerment is not only about creating employment opportunities; it is also about giving people the tools and confidence to create opportunities for themselves and build a more stable future for themselves and their families.

"في كل عين شابة، يسكن كهل، وفي كل تجعيدة، يختبئ طفل.

إنها حكاية الزمان، قصيدة الوجود التي تُكتب على جدران الوجوه. فالطفولة ليست سوى فصل من كتاب، والشيخوخة ليست سوى عنوان لفصوله المتعددة.

أترى هذا الجانب من الصورة؟ إنه الطفل بعينيه الواسعتين، عينان تطلان على العالم بفضول ودهشة، لا تملآن من استكشاف الألوان والأصوات، لا تعرفان سوى الحاضر.

أما الجانب الآخر، فهو ذلك الكهل الذي عاش عمراً، تتلخص فيه كل التجارب والقصص، فكل تجعيدة في وجهه تروي فصلاً كاملاً من كتاب حياته، وكل شعرة بيضاء تحكي عن فجر جديد بعد ليل طويل.

نحن لسنا إلا مزيجاً فريداً من هذين الجانبين، جزء منا ينظر إلى الغد بتفاؤل لا حدود له، وجزء آخر ينظر إلى الأمس بحكمة وعبر.

فهل الحياة مجرد رحلة خطية من الشباب إلى الشيخوخة؟ أم أنها دائرة لا تنتهي، حيث يولد الطفل من جديد في عيون الكهل، وحيث تبقى ذكريات الكهل حية في أحلام الطفل؟

ربما تكون الحياة مجرد مرآة، نرى فيها أنفسنا في كل مرحلة من مراحلها، فكلما تقدمنا في العمر، ازداد عمق الرؤية، وكلما عدنا إلى الوراء، وجدنا براءة البدايات.

وكلما فهمنا أننا لسنا سوى نتاج رحلة طويلة من الشباب إلى الشيخوخة، أدركنا أن كل لحظة في حياتنا لها قيمة، وأن كل تجربة، حتى وإن كانت مؤلمة، هي جزء من قصة وجودنا."
"In every young eye dwells an elder, and in every wrinkle hides a child.

This is the tale of time, the poem of existence written upon the walls of faces. For childhood is but a chapter in a book, and old age is merely a title for its many chapters.

Do you see this side of the picture? It is the child with wide eyes, eyes that gaze upon the world with curiosity and wonder, never tiring of exploring colors and sounds, knowing only the present.

The other side is that elder who has lived a lifetime, containing within them all experiences and stories. Every wrinkle on their face tells a complete chapter from the book of their life, and every white hair speaks of a new dawn after a long night.

We are but a unique blend of these two aspects - part of us looks toward tomorrow with boundless optimism, while another part looks upon yesterday with wisdom and lessons.

Is life merely a linear journey from youth to old age? Or is it an endless circle, where the child is born anew in the eyes of the elder, and where the elder's memories remain alive in the child's dreams?

Perhaps life is but a mirror, in which we see ourselves at every stage of our journey. The more we advance in age, the deeper our vision becomes, and the more we look backward, the more we find the innocence of beginnings.

And the more we understand that we are but the product of a long journey from youth to old age, the more we realize that every moment in our lives has value, and that every experience, even if painful, is part of the story of our existence."

اختتمت الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية، بالشراكة مع منظمة أوكسفام (Oxfam)، برنامجاً تدريبياً متخصصاً في ريادة الأعمال وإدارة المشاريع الصغيرة، بمشاركة 75 مستفيداً ومستفيدة من أبناء المجتمعات المحلية في قريتي تل عرن وتل حاصل في ريف حلب.
خلال التدريب، عمل المشاركون على تطوير أفكارهم وتحويلها إلى خطط عملية يمكن البناء عليها، واكتسبوا معارف ومهارات تساعدهم على اتخاذ خطوات أكثر ثقة نحو إطلاق مشاريعهم وإدارتها.
وتناول التدريب مجموعة من المهارات الأساسية، منها:
• التخطيط للمشاريع الناشئة ووضع أهداف واضحة.
• فهم احتياجات السوق المحلية ودراسة فرصه.
• إدارة التكاليف والأرباح والتخطيط المالي للمشروع.
لا يقتصر دعم سبل العيش على توفير فرصة مؤقتة، بل يبدأ من تمكين الإنسان بالمعرفة والمهارات التي تساعده على بناء مصدر دخل أكثر استدامة.
من فكرة صغيرة تبدأ الحكاية… وبالمعرفة والدعم، يمكن أن تتحول الفكرة إلى فرصة، والفرصة إلى مستقبل أفضل.

The Syrian Society for Social Development, in partnership with Oxfam, has concluded a specialized training programme on entrepreneurship and small business management, with the participation of 75 beneficiaries from local communities in Tal Aran and Tal Hasil villages in the Aleppo countryside.
Throughout the training, participants worked on developing their ideas and turning them into practical plans they can build on. They also gained knowledge and skills to help them take more confident steps towards launching and managing their own businesses.
The training covered a range of essential skills, including:
• Planning for start-ups and setting clear goals.
• Understanding local market needs and exploring available opportunities.
• Managing costs and profits and developing sound financial plans for their businesses.
Supporting livelihoods is not only about providing temporary opportunities; it starts with empowering people with the knowledge and skills they need to build more sustainable sources of income.
Every journey starts with a small idea… and with knowledge and support, an idea can become an opportunity, and an opportunity can lead to a better future.

في ختامٍ يفيض بالدفء والأمل، أُسدل الستار اليوم على رحلةٍ ممتعة شهدها النادي الصيفي للأطفال، وداعاً لأيامٍ حافلة بالفرح والتعلم، وجمعت بين شغف الاكتشاف وعفوية الطفولة.

ولم تكن هذه اللحظات مجرد نهاية لموسم، بل كانت احتفاءً حقيقياً بإنجازات أبطالنا الصغار وضحكاتهم التي أضفت حياةً ودفئاً على زوايا المكان طوال الفترة الماضية. وتتويجاً لتلك الرحلة، شارك الصغار بشغف كبير في إعداد وتزيين قطع الكيك بأنفسهم، في لمسة مبهجة تعبر عن روح العطاء والمشاركة.

أبرز ملامح الحفل الختامي:
صنع الذكريات: ممارسة الأطفال لأنشطة تفاعلية أظهرت إبداعاتهم ومهاراتهم الجديدة.
البسمة والتقدير: تكريم جهود الأبطال الصغار والاحتفاء بشغفهم المستمر للتعلم.
أجواء عائلية: التشارك في صنع الحلوى وتزيينها للتعزيز من حس الإنجاز والمودة.
إن المهارات التي اكتسبها الأطفال واللحظات الصادقة التي عاشوها ستظل حية في الذاكرة، وكلنا فخر بما قدمه هؤلاء المبدعون الصغار وهم يخطون خطواتهم الأولى نحو مستقبل أكثر إشراقاً.

In a conclusion overflowing with warmth and hope, the curtain fell today on an enjoyable journey at the Children’s Summer Club bidding farewell to days filled with joy and learning that blended a passion for discovery with the spontaneity of childhood.

These moments were not merely the end of a season, but a true celebration of our young heroes' achievements and laughter, which brought warmth and vibrant life to every corner of the venue throughout the past period. As a highlight of this journey, the little ones enthusiastically participated in preparing and decorating cakes themselves, creating a delightful touch that reflected the spirit of giving and sharing.
Highlights of the Closing Ceremony:
Making Memories: Engaging children in interactive activities that showcased their creativity and newly acquired skills.
Smiles and Appreciation: Honoring the efforts of our young heroes and celebrating their continuous passion for learning.
Warm Atmosphere: Sharing in making and decorating treats to foster a sense of accomplishment and togetherness.
The skills these children gained and the heartfelt moments they experienced will remain cherished memories. We take immense pride in everything these young creators achieved as they take their first steps toward a brighter future.

انطلاقاً من التزامها العميق بتعزيز الوعي المجتمعي حول مخاطر العنف اللفظي وتداعياته، نظمت "الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية" جلسة توعوية مخصصة للسيدات. هدفت الجلسة إلى تسليط الضوء على الآثار العميقة للعنف اللفظي على الصحة النفسية والجسدية، وتزويد المشاركات بآليات فعّالة وآمنة للتعامل مع أشكاله المختلفة.

وقد اعتمدت الجلسة على منهجية تشاركية تضمنت حزمة من الأنشطة التفاعلية، أبرزها:

محاكاة المواقف الحياتية: من خلال تمارين لعب الأدوار، حيث قامت المشاركات بإعادة صياغة مواقف واقعية بأساليب تواصل قائمة على الاحترام والأمان المتبادل.

نشاط "الكلمة تترك أثراً": مساحة تعبيرية آمنة أتاحت للسيدات الإفصاح عن التأثير السلبي للكلمات الجارحة التي تعرضن لها، ومقارنتها بالكلمات الإيجابية التي يطمحن لسماعها.

وتتويجاً للفعالية، عُقدت حلقة نقاشية تناولت استراتيجيات الحد من ظاهرة العنف اللفظي في المحيط اليومي، تلتها مساحة ترفيهية ساهمت في تعزيز الروابط والألفة بين الحاضرات.

وقد خلصت الجلسة إلى التأكيد على أهمية الإلمام بحقوق المرأة، وبناء الثقة بالنفس، وتطوير مهارة رسم حدود صحية في العلاقات الإنسانية، كركائز أساسية لخلق بيئة أسرية ومجتمعية آمنة.

أصداء وانطباعات:
لمست الجلسة تفاعلاً إيجابياً واسعاً، حيث عبّرت المشاركات عن استفادتهن الكبيرة؛ فقالت إحداهن: "دفعتني جلسة اليوم لإعادة التفكير ملياً في أسلوب تواصلي مع أبنائي والمحيطين بي". وأضافت أخرى: "لقد كانت الجلسة قيّمة جداً؛ جعلتني أدرك حجم الأثر الذي تتركه الكلمات، وكيف يمكن لطريقة تواصلنا أن تُحدث فارقاً كبيراً في علاقاتنا".

Driven by its deep commitment to raising community awareness about the dangers and repercussions of verbal abuse, the Syrian Society for Social Development (SSSD) organized an awareness session tailored for women. The session aimed to highlight the profound impacts of verbal abuse on mental and physical health, while equipping participants with effective and safe mechanisms to deal with its various forms.

The session adopted a participatory methodology featuring a suite of interactive activities, most notably:

Life Scenario Simulations: Through role-playing exercises, participants reframed real-life situations using communication methods grounded in mutual respect and safety.

"Words Leave a Trace" Activity: A safe, expressive space that allowed women to share the negative impact of hurtful words they had experienced, contrasting them with the positive words they long to hear.

Culminating the event, a group discussion explored strategies to curb verbal abuse in daily surroundings, followed by a recreational session that helped strengthen bonds and camaraderie among attendees.

The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of understanding women's rights, building self-confidence, and setting healthy boundaries in interpersonal relationships as essential pillars for creating safe family and community environments.

Feedback and Impressions:
The session resonated widely with participants, who expressed gaining immense value from the experience. One attendee remarked: "Today's session prompted me to deeply rethink my communication style with my children and those around me." Another added: "The session was incredibly valuable; it made me realize the profound impact words carry and how our way of communicating can make a world of difference in our relationships."

ضمن جهودها في تعزيز القدرات وتطوير الخدمات المقدمة للمجتمع، بدأت الجمعية السورية للتنمية الاجتماعية، بالتعاون مع منظمة ZOA تدريبات مشروع "العلاج المجتمعي القائم على المجتمع"، بمشاركة مدربين متخصصين من المعهد الهولندي للعلاج المجتمعي القائم على المجتمع.
يشارك في تنفيذ التدريبات مدربون قادمون من هولندا ورواندا وأوغندا، بما يتيح للميسرين فرصة الاستفادة من خبرات وتجارب دولية متنوعة في مجال العلاج المجتمعي.
يهدف التدريب إلى تعزيز معارف ومهارات الكوادر، وتبادل الخبرات والممارسات، بما يسهم في دعم وتطوير نهج مجتمعي أكثر شمولًا واستجابة لاحتياجات الأفراد والمجتمعات.
معًا نحو بناء قدرات مستدامة وتعزيز العمل المجتمعي.

As part of its efforts to build capacity and enhance community services, the Syrian Society for Social Development (SSSD), in collaboration with ZOA, has launched training sessions for the "Community-Based Sociotherapy" project, featuring specialized trainers from the Institute for Community-Based Sociotherapy.

Trainers from the Netherlands, Rwanda, and Uganda are participating in the delivery of these sessions, offering facilitators the opportunity to benefit from diverse international expertise and practices in the field of sociotherapy.

The training aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of personnel and foster the exchange of expertise and best practices, contributing to a more inclusive community approach that effectively addresses the needs of individuals and communities.

Together toward building sustainable capacities and empowering community action.
