البيان الصحفي – اجتماع بحث فرص التعاون بين غرفة التجارة الدولية سوريا و السفارة الألمانية في دمشق

استضافت غرفة التجارة الدولية سوريا اجتماعاً رسمياً مع سعادة القائم بالأعمال الألماني في دمشق، السفير كليمنس هاش (Clemens Hach)، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والتقني بين سوريا وألمانيا في عدد من القطاعات الحيوية التي تُعد أساسية لتعافي الاقتصاد السوري وإعادة اندماجه في المنظومة الاقتصادية العالمية.
حضر الاجتماع من جانب غرفة التجارة الدولية سوريا كل من:
السيد ناجي شاوي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة،
السيد مروان عفاكي، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة - رئيس لجنة التأمين،
السيد خليل سارة، أمين سر مجلس الإدارة،
والسيدة منى كيوان، المستشارة الإدارية ومسؤولة العلاقات الخارجية في الغرفة.
وموظفي الغرفة.
قدّم ممثلو غرفة التجارة الدولية سوريا عرضاً موجزاً لأبرز إنجازاتها، والتي شملت برامج تدريبية متخصصة في قواعد التجارة الدولية والتحكيم والتمويل التجاري، بالإضافة إلى المشاركة الفاعلة في مبادرات غرفة التجارة الدولية العالمية.
تركّزت المناقشات على توسيع آفاق التعاون، حيث شدّد الجانبان على أهمية التعاون الفني وبناء القدرات المؤسسية وتبادل الخبرات بوصفها ركائز أساسية لتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة.
ومن ابرز المواضيع التي تم تداولها:
• إعادة دعم سوق التأمين السوري من خلال مشاركة شركات إعادة التأمين الألمانية ومنح السوق طاقات اكتتابية تتناسب مع حجم الاستثمارات الجديدة، ولا سيّما في مرحلة ما بعد رفع العقوبات.
• تعزيز التعاون الزراعي عبر إدخال تقنيات الزراعة الحديثة والمستدامة.
• تطوير حلول الطاقة المتجددة بما يتماشى مع التوجهات البيئية العالمية.
• تحديث قطاع النقل وفق المعايير الدولية.
• تعزيز التدريب المهني في القطاع المالي.
• تطوير صناعة النسيج في سوريا من خلال نقل التكنولوجيا الحديثة والخبرات الفنية الألمانية.
واختُتم الاجتماع بالتأكيد على الالتزام المشترك بتعميق التعاون الاقتصادي السوري-الألماني، وعلى قناعة الجانبين بأن ازدهار سوريا سيتحقق من خلال تنمية التجارة والاستثمار، وليس عبر المساعدات.
Press Release – Collaboration Between ICC Syria and German Embassy in Damascus
Damascus, November 2, 2025
The International Chamber of Commerce Syria (ICC Syria) met with His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Clemens Hach, Chargé d’Affaires of the Federal Republic of Germany in Damascus, to discuss avenues for deepening economic and technical cooperation between the two countries as part of Syria’s broader economic recovery and reintegration into the global economy.
Representing the International Chamber of Commerce Syria were:
• Mr. Naji Chaoui, Chairman of the Board,
• Mr. Marwan Affaki, Vice-Chairman and Chair of the Insurance Committee,
• Mr. Khalil Sara, Secretary General,
• Ms. Mouna Kiwan, Administrative Consultant and International Affairs Officer,
as well as staff members of the Chamber.
The ICC Syria representatives presented an overview of the Chamber’s key achievements, which include specialized training programs in international trade rules, arbitration, and trade finance, as well as active engagement in global ICC initiatives.
The discussions centered on expanding cooperation opportunities, with both sides underscoring the importance of technical collaboration, institutional capacity building, and knowledge exchange as essential drivers of sustainable economic development.
The meeting also highlighted several priority areas for future collaboration, including:
• Revitalizing the Syrian insurance market through the participation of German reinsurance companies and providing underwriting capacities that match the scale of new investments, particularly in the post-sanctions phase.
• Enhancing agricultural cooperation through the introduction of modern and sustainable farming technologies.
• Developing renewable energy solutions in line with global environmental trends.
• Upgrading the transportation sector to meet international standards.
• Strengthening vocational training in the financial sector.
• Advancing Syria’s textile industry through the transfer of modern technologies and German technical expertise.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to deepening Syrian-German economic cooperation, and a mutual conviction that Syria’s prosperity will be achieved through trade and investment rather than reliance on aid.
