Syrian Climate Pioneers (SCP) participated as a Local Partner in the Regional Conference of Youth on Climate in the Middle East and North Africa – RCOY MENA 2026, held in Nizwa, Oman, from 16–19 September 2026, organized by Madad for Development, Foras Khadra, and the Arab Youth Forum for Climate Action (AYSCA).
Our participation took place within a regional space that brought together young people from across the region to strengthen dialogue on climate issues, exchange experiences and perspectives, and enhance the role of youth in climate action and decision-making.
Through our participation, SCP represented Syrian youth in the regional climate dialogue, sharing experiences and perspectives on climate and environmental challenges in the Syrian context, while also building partnerships and exchanging knowledge with young people, initiatives, and climate organizations from across the region.
The conference also provided an important space to strengthen the presence of Syrian youth in the regional climate movement and contribute to shaping youth perspectives and priorities for climate action.
From Syria to the region, we continue to empower youth and build partnerships for a more sustainable and just future.
